Well, in 24 hours, I'll be on a flight (still have to go to Houston--long story)

It's been fun, gents. All the unknowns disappear tomorrow, and I will be back win or lose. Having watched BYU in these types of games for close to 30 years, can I offer some pregame parting advice?
When LSU finds themselves in a big boy fight against a team that won't roll over like a directional Louisiana school, you will have the inclination to enter your nuclear launch codes.
Don't.
LSU isn't bigger. LSU isn't stronger. LSU is certainly faster, but even that gap is not as wide as the hype machine would proclaim. And that's before injuries and suspensions. BYU is a top third P5 level program. This isn't a Sun Belt team. This isn't a MAC team. This isn't a CUSA team. If Stanford and Cal didn't hate Mormons (or any religion, really), we'd be 25 year members of the Pac 12 already.
I'm not saying BYU will win, but I am saying that all of you predicting 42-3 type scores in LSU's favor are the exact collection of ignorant, swamp dwelling buffoons devoid of any sort of football knowledge that I had hoped you wouldn't be.
Take my advice and be ready to watch a fight for a full four quarters tomorrow night.
To everyone travelling by car or airboat or whatever, wish you nothing by safety. I'll be the one you can hear cheering for BYU all the way from Houston.

Good luck to your boys. And the majority of us never considered BYU to be a cupcake. We know that BYU has some size and strength up front and will present a challenge to our Tigers.
Had they not looked like complete arse vs. Portland St, I doubt you'd be seeing so much confidence on this board this week. Wasn't a whole lot of that in the weeks prior

It will be an interesting game: 24 year old 2 and 3 stars v. 19 year old 4 and 5 stars.
Maturity v. Talent.

I honestly can't tell if this is supposed to be genuine or condescending.

These words carry a lot of weight coming from a polygamous.

No it isn't. It isn't a top third team in any P5 conference. It probably isn't in the top 5 half of them...except the powder puff league they reside in.....and that is just being kind.

So you're flying to Houston? A) I'm confused B) You realize it's underwater C) Just cancel your flight and book one to Nola

Lot of LOL worthy things there. I know it'll be a hard fought game, but we are in fact bigger and stronger and faster than BYU.
