Well, I think Florida is further proof, if you lose 9-15

Starters, you will struggle no matter who the coach is.

In our case, we lost over 30 players from the 19 team.

I was looking forward to watching that matchup. Then when they showed the number of players opting out, I was disappointed.

And then we lost the QB we groomed to replace Burrow. We still managed 434 yards per game and people wanted to replace our offensive coordinator.

Well the OC is getting replaced so evidently it wasn’t just the fans.

LSU had more than 4 days to prepare after losing those players.

Welllllll not quite the same
Florida has a mass exodus of experienced players the week before a bowl game which didn’t really matter...

Difference is our coaches had an entire offseason to prepare the “next man up” ...yet players acted as if the entire season didn’t matter

Coaches seemed uncomfortable even attempting to make scheme adjustments, either in-game or week to week.

So not quite the same although I see your point. Ya lose a bunch of your best players ya gonna suck.

Losing a bunch of players from the previous year is not the same as losing a bunch of players from the previous game.

Hes not being replaced, he's stepping down from on the field coaching. He didn't want to be OC in the 1st place

That's strange, because I saw it as an opportunity to see what Florida will actually be working with next season.

I have zero problems with players deciding to skip a meaningless bowl. If sponsors and network execs are worried about decreased ratings from players deciding to do what is best for themselves, they should reform the post-season.

The playoff is the ultimate goal. It's not 1995 anymore. These guys who go to IMG Academy or STA are looking to win championships and get to the NFL. Anything less is a waste of time and more opportunity to get hurt.

How some of yall can't understand that is beyond me. These players are doing what is best for themselves and their families, which is what America is predicated upon.

E stepped down, probably due to the hysterics of a lot of unseasoned football fans. He’s an LSU lifer, and he still gets to be that, while taking all the criticism off his shoulders. We’re pretty spoiled to go from average 150 yard passers to 300+ yard passers in a matter of 2 years and yet think the production is too low.

The problem was going from fantastic red zone and 3rd down offense to hot dogshit in those categories.

This is why the story is being presented as him stepping down.

Tell me more about this great offseason we supposedly had to prepare a bunch of freshmen and young guys while installing a complete different scheme defensively. Also we’re opt outs in spring, summer, or fall/in season
