Many of us, myself included, thought we'd lose at Florida and the season begin to unwind then. Is this the weekend?

The reality is that the SEC sucks outside of Alabama, Auburn and Georgia. Our season won't "unwind" because Ole Miss, Arky and UT are all garbage.

Having a new AD will not improve this team with DaCoach O at the helm...

True. But as long as the current AD remains in place, DaCoach O remains at the helm. The two are existing symbiotically right now. The only way to know if O can continue to exist without Alleva micromanaging him is to get rid of Alleva and observe.

Very true .

Honestly the Alabama effect is real. It seems like if your a highly rated recruit your either going to Bama or trying to avoid playing Bama by going to schools outside the SEC.

Now I know this paradigm isn’t completely true but I think it explains why the SEC is “down” compared to Pre-playoffs SEC .

Teams lose games. Losing to Auburn doesn't mean the season unwinds.

“Old Miss, Arky, and UT are all garbage”

Wasn’t that pretty much the prevailing thought about Miss.St as well?

Well just be thankful we don't have to play a juggernaut like Troy this weekend.

Exactly, plus you don't want Alleva to hire the next football coach.

Okay, if I may be so bold, "nitwit", what in Alleva's background makes you believe he should pick O's successor?

Again - I'm categorically against replacing O until we have a new, permanent AD in place to hire his replacement. Period. It can be a lot worse, and this is likely if we do not change ADs.

If lsu fans gained any more from the Florida game that the team didn't give up along with better OL play, fans are giving themselves a sense of false hope. Call it what you want, but it is what it is. Even with a team being able to build on something won't be enough to overcome Auburn.

But like another person said, The SEC is such hot garbage and even 8-4 or 7-5 is very attainable.

The thing is we shite the bed against MSU and Troy, which came as a surprise and put the fan base in this funk. Most people seem to agree we'll get blown out this weekend. I'm not sure it'll make things any worse than they are since there's already the expectation that we lose. It'll take another bad loss (Ole Miss or Tennessee) to get the wheels moving again.

It wouldn't need to "unwind", it would already be unwound.

Dan Mullen > Bert > Champions of Life > Matt Luke

Miss State may not have the players across the board that those other three have but Mullen has a stable program. Those other three coaches are on the way out. I would say all three will be fired by the end of the year but Bert has a buyout as fat as his waistline.
