Edwards and floyd can be solid rotation guys. Hellmers is also an option

The staff hasn’t developed their pitchers that we signed the last two years. None have a real role. They shuttle them around with little success.

There’s no reason for Hill to stay if he’s a high draft pick. Besides, he’s got a year of rehab before he can start throwing from what I understand.

Thats why PM is losing so much this season, so he's replaced because he has knows he has no rotation next year.

You would have to know where he is drafted before you can say he “should stay”. If the money is right he should go. You get much better coaching in the minors.

You are looking at then based on their production currently and not their potential. But you dont really understand what you are looking at, so it doesnt surprise me

If this season doesn’t do PM in next season certainly will.

The crazy thing is even with seeing what I have seen from this team, I can still make the argument that they SHOULD be good. Not great, but good.

I don’t know how I can make that argument next season. Where does the pitching come from? Maybe someone emerges, I have a few ideas who, but at this point in time there’s not someone that I look at and say “yep, he’s the guy.”

Thats okay if the coaches use the transfer portal and juco route to find that next ace. The current staff doesnt use those methods.

The throwing program can start anywhere from 5 to 7 months after surgery. It’s part of the rehab. Full recovery can take anywhere from 10-15 months depending on setbacks and if you’re coming back to start or relieve.

No he shouldn't. He's had two major injuries over the last 3 years.

If he's drafted in the 1st round (which he will be), he'd be an idiot for staying.

Floyd is the one guy with the stuff that looks like a weekend starter. But from his visible demeanor, to his lack of command, he hasn't inspired any confidence in me that he can do it. I at least want to see a guy look competitive on the mound, not an "aww, shucks, looks like it's not my day" appearance. Maybe I'm misinterpreting what I see, but the results make it hard for me to believe otherwise.

I haven't understood the hype for Edwards. He has that funky delivery that makes it look impossible for him to sync up his mechanics, has a so-so fastball, and not one plus secondary offering. It's like people see a big guy and assume he must be a power pitcher who's waiting to break out. Money is much the same, but he at least has some life on his fastball and has, at times, shown a good breaking ball. He just can't locate, like most of our pitchers.

Hellmers at least has command of his fastball. He seems mature enough to handle a bigger role, but he throws so many fastballs that he's really become predictable. He has to be able to throw something else, with some kind of consistency.

If these guys don't vastly improve, we better hope for a breakout from some freshmen next year. And we need a coaching staff that can develop arms. This is almost unwatchable, after Marceaux and Labas.

If I was a big time JUCO or transfer portal, I would be eyeing LSU as a landing spot. Lets hope the LSU staff is looking for them.

On the plus side all three of those guys should play in a higher end summer league where they will receive some coaching from someone other than Dunn.

But yea, transfer/juco is gonna have to happen.

They better look to the Juco Ranks to find someone that can come in and fill a couple of those 3 spots.

Ok who has potential? Why not rotate who’s starting game 3? Sad to see this decline
