Kendell Beckwith

If Harris took advantage of getting all the snaps this summer then he'll be the starter. If he didn't then Jennings is the guy.

BH will need the Mcneese game as a tune up to get ready for the next two games. If AJ comes out as the starter and flops in the State game we all know how CLM is about pulling starters like JJ in he NC game 2011

Can we have one thread just for people that want to say who they think will start and why?

What him pulling lee in the bama game or about him pulling JJ vs Florida in 2010?

It came out that Mills didn't punch anyone, fyi

I remember reading that somewhere. The point I was making is Mills still started the opener. It didn't come out that he was innocent until well into the season

Some people seem convinced that they'll both play and play well and this will help the team. To me that seems overly optimistic because Les has said he wants one of them to be "the guy," which means the other will only play in a backup role and won't be used unless absolutely needed or In garbage time.
I think Harris is the better option because as a true sophomore he looks like he's progressing faster than Jennings when he was a true sophomore.
What concerns me is that Jennings will start and Harris won't see the field until only after Jennings stinks it up on the way to a bad early season loss, like last year.
It would have helped if I saw some major improvement in the spring game from Jennings, and other than his very first throw, I just didn't.

Doesn't have the chest, IMO

My god, it would be an epic meltdown if AJ takes the first snaps of the year.
It would almost be worth it.

Daniel Sams will start but Grant Ashcraft will probably see a series or two........oh, wait.....you guys are talking about LSU's starter. ;-)

I bet Krags knows the playbook
Hell, I could learn the damn playbook. Don't think the fans want to see myself or Krag under center.

I really just don't see it. For the most part Les makes the right decision when it comes to players screwing up.
Also, in the coaches corner segment he mentioned preparing BH to play in game one, but not AJ. I think that speaks loudly.

Say what you want, IF AJ is on team game one he WILL start....

Harris will get all the snaps in fall camp, and thus will be the week 1 starter.
Please let it be so!
I never understood why the coaches believed AJ had so much more experience going into last season. He had the end of the Arky game and a bowl game which he was unimpressive in. Sure he had another year of learning the system and BH didn't seem to know it as well, but that part should be over now.
After re-watching all of the games from last year it's amazing how many poor choices were made at the QB position. Had BH been given those same snaps I do not believe he would have done any worse, and there would have been upside.

If Miles starts Jennings, the LSU will turn on him quickly and his seat will go from lukewarm with a bad season to scorching hot
this was exactly the sentiment here before the Auburn game last year. Magically, now it's "why did Miles start Harris when it was obvious he wasn't ready"

Harris started the 2nd SEC game in 2014. Doesn't seem me that the staff was ate up with Jennings' experience.

Harris said he was hurt at Aub. and that the injury limited his playing time.
