Les was like that Walmart to me. I understand why people were frustrated with Les and I would have been all for firing him if he wasn't winning so consistently.

I agree. But your boy has almost 40 games and is complete garbage. The ONLY thing he has on nuss is running, and that's gone now that teams selling out against the run. Nuss isn't my boy, but nuss has a very high ceiling with that arm, son of an offensive NFL coach, and he is athletic and good size. He has the physical traits just needs playing time. Never understand why you guys shite on a freshman. As for turnovers...he played a full game as a true fresh against a quality SEC opponent, went 1/2. As a TF. Your guy in his third year threw 10 pics. Nuss played well against NM and Auburn...had some drops at Auburn.

Cheers...

He didn’t even start that game or get starters reps at practice that week.

I don't see how he doesntgey a qb out the portal. If he doesn't something went wrong.

No way that happens before Collins is signed. And who is coming here to take on a guy with program ties and one of Kelly’s first major recruits.

I know this route has risks, but I am thinking they are going to try and develop their own guys. If Nuss leaves I can see them bringing in someone for depth, but I doubt next season’s starter comes from the portal unless their opinion of Walker isn’t high after a year in the program.

Almost exactly what a former LSU QB told me, "We'll see receivers leaving." And that was the kind part of his comments about the coaches, OC and special teams.

Why should this matter?

Max Johnson was the son of a super bowl winning qb and he got run out of town.

Not all of us will be entertained by a coach who keeps playing the same below average, poor fit of a 4 year quarterback, over and over again, expecting a different result.

It's just stupid not to give Nuss some PT.

Even if he isn't going to be the guy moving forward, we still need a viable backup for JD or Howard.

This is the SEC. QBs get hurt all the time, and JD has already missed time.

There is absolutely no downside to giving Nuss some meaningful snaps.

We have some blowout losses looming. May as well let him play.

On the one hand I get the frustration with Les not changing the offense, on the other it's seems a bit overstated that the coach with the most sustained success in LSU football history has traumatized you.

if you remember even when we were winning 10 games a year or more it was extremely painful, because every game was a nailbiter and you never knew where the points were coming from. there were, of course, some fun days, mostly built around the awesome defense. btw, i know a lot of fans who feel the same way.

Not my boy, just the guy I think is our best stopgap. Also not complete garbage, that's hyperbole. He seems to be playing scared.

The closest thing I can recall that I have seen like it at LSU was a running back. Kenny Hilliard was doing pretty good, hit the hole hard, ran hard, and had a bit of speed and quickness. Then he had some fumbles and started altering how he hit the hole and seemed more tentative going into the line, he never seemed the same.

Nuss has thrown a total of 96 passes, much of that in garbage time, 53/96 55.2% 652 yds 6.8 ypa 3 TDs 4 ints 114.2 rating

Daniels has thrown a total of 572/899 63.6% 7240 yds 8.1 ypa 39 TDs 14 ints 142.5 rating

If we want to talk true freshman years, Daniels as a TF was 205/338 60.7% 2943 yds 8.7ypa 17 TDs 2 Ints 149.2 rating Led his team to an 8-5 record, played 4 ranked teams, 3 were away games, beat two on the road and the one at home.

He did. We have had some drops this season not limited to either QB.

This probably boils down to who the coaches feel more comfortable with. Context clues seem to point to Howard likely taking over next year provided he does not regress. We shall see.

Honestly, just my take, I suspect you and I both do not have "a guy" here and simply disagree as to which is the best option for this season.

Appreciate the civil discussion, if I came across as pissy at any point I apologize. Sometimes the tenor of this site permeates how I express what I say.

That seems to be the case.

So as I said, fair-weather fans. Or maybe bandwagon fans? Not a fan of the team or the university it represents, just a fan of the entertainment.

JD is a dog w fleas. If he plans on starting him, the season won't be worth the tickets/taf/parking fees.
That's why the change HAS to happen this year. Season is a waste at this point. We'll lose 3 more easily . You have to show you're for the betterment of the team, and that is going to a different starter. He targeted JD while at ND, and stupidly brought him in.
Change should happen by next week, and let the others know they aren't the one.
Status quo and hard headed bs should put BK on the hottest w no change in approach

Some of you are so dramatic. 2nd loss in a rebuilding year. Too soon for wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Nuss will start the 2nd half or sooner and put up between 14 and 17 points. Church of Daniel members...down vote away.
