What I saw in that game was that a competent coach absolutely tore us apart once he saw what we were doing, and we lacked the brainpower to adjust.
For most of the rest of the season, competent coaches are all we're going to see. Starting with McElwain at Central Florida and moving on all the way through to the rest of the season.
Can we overcome that deficit with talent and guys making plays?
Against Central Michigan, probably. Against SEC teams?

7-8 wins is not fine. 7-8 wins is a shitty year. We aren’t ole miss, or MSU, or arkansas. This is LSU for God’s sake. Miles was fired because he couldn’t consistently win 10 games. O should meet the same standard.

You said we will be fine in title and said win 7-8 and mediocre. Regardless if I agree with you on winning that many, you definition of fine and mine are different. I am not ok with 7-8 wins a year and nobody will be able to convince me to accept that.

No I’m not OK with it but I don’t see a repeat of last year. 7-8 win seasons is not good enough for me. I’m just saying I don’t see the shite show that was last year. We will improve a good bit this year. I still don’t like the long term stability of the program and do believe changes need to be made…
