Those were bad losses too, but those three teams went a combined 75-19 that season (with VCU accounting for 7 of those losses alone) and all 3 would have made the NCAAT had it been held. Nicholls St is projected to finish fourth in the freaking Southland.

So, Will Wade gets a 10-game suspension and LSU self-imposes a 4 year sanction of irrelevancy.
No coach at the P5 level should get 4 years anymore. With the transfer portal, rosters are turned over completely every 2 years. Three years should be the absolute maximum for a coach to prove himself.

I do remember and you’re right. The “street ball” ignorance has basically become a meme here it’s so ridiculous. Now they’ve created new ones with “he paid every player” and “he had the most elite talent and couldn’t win”. They even do this thing with McMahon where the entire off season they say how he’s bringing in star recruits then when the season starts “he just doesn’t have any talent. These posters were mad when we were winning and are now thrilled we’re one of the worst teams in the country. They’re not LSU basketball fans.

I sure did. I have season tickets. Wade’s teams infuriated me. He was an absolutely horrible x and o’s coach. Didn’t have a clue about defense. Had horrendous inbounds sets. And as a supposedly offensive guru called the worst sets with the ball in our hands in last possessions with a chance to win. I’m not happy making sweet 16’s and getting curbed stomped. Anyone with basketball acumen knows he would’ve never gotten any farther with his defensive principles.

Madking I watched LSU basketball make 12 tournaments in a row. Not 3 out of 4. I’ve seen LSU basketball play in 3 final fours. I was on the floor in the Omni in Atlanta in 86 as a 12 year old watching the 1st 11 seed make a final four. I was in the Ga dome when we ended Reddicks career and went on to beat Texas in OT to make the final 4. Those teams played defense. Something Wade’s teams failed to comprehend

I watched all that too and just because you have an axe to grind doesn’t make your silliness true. Wade’s last team was top 5 or 6 nationally in defense and was the top D in the country prior to the injuries. You’re just wrong, sorry.

The only axe I have to grind is the predicament Wade put is in and the state of the program because of his stupidity. I have no respect for him. I love LSU first and foremost. But Wade didn’t love LSU and totally screwed us. And the bottom line is he didn’t win jack shite. 2-14 is a direct result of Wade screwing LSU and being selfish. We gave him every opportunity to come forward and explain himself. But he was a pussy and lawyered up. He’s a straight pussy bro. And a coward.
