On one hand they’ll tell you we can’t afford the $7mil buyout then they’ll turn around and say we’re gonna give him $15 mil in NIL plus his overpriced salary again. Don’t believe a word these people tell you.

I and a couple other posters said chest was not that great. many of you said under beard they would develop his talent and make the tournament and that McMahon failed him.

well, did beard fail him? or I was i exactly right about chest?

Yet you say nothing basketball related. Again, if you’re gonna troll you’ll have to find a way around your stupidity. You’re way too obvious.

lol Still no basketball but I’ll play along. Did Mick Cronin fail Aday Mara at UCLA?

… he’s a basketball player, you’ll have to look him up because I know you have no clue who either are

you didn't answer.

I think many of the McMahon critics say he has had the talent and he mismanaged it. I am not sure by this is supported by the success of many of the players he lost.

vyctorious is maybe one example of a player leaving and doing well. and Curtis givens has played ok.

chest was a big point of contention, how McMahon gave him way too few minutes. but beard gave him even fewer minutes.

I did answer, you’re presenting a frame of misrepresentation, an ill attempted gotcha. Now you’re crawfishing because the logic was broken. Do you have anything legitimate to discuss?

It just hasn't worked here from day 1. There's a lot of reasons, but it felt like he was punching from behind and just can't turn the corner. He's not a culture-builder and he's not a community engagement guy, doesn't seem like he fits here, like BK didn't.

yeah I asked about Corey chest. I think his lack of success at ole miss under beard has strengthened the case that McMahon did not make an error by giving him too few minutes.

at the time, I said that chest cant shoot or dribble and his D and rebounding might not make up for that, because he cant create space for other shooters. I think I was right. you wont discuss it, because i was right .

I attend every game and go all open practices. before last season I saw chest taking unguarded shots and he was very bad. most players in praictive nail shot after shot, just relaxed and unguarded. but chest was clank city. I think it hurts the team when one player is a non-shooter.

even non-shooters like nwoko can make a shot from short range. chest was pretty much terrible at all shots that were not dunks.

so its not clear to me that it was one of McMahon's errors, not playing him.

Chris beard seems to agree with me. you refuse to discuss it.

I agree but I think its possible this has been a fundraising issue not an Xs and O's issue.

it was a jimmies and Joes issue which is related to fundraising.

If we had enough money to buy out McCantWin’s contract damn skippy we’d do it. Only thing is if we had enough money we or he or she wouldn’t be in here complaining about it.

Ok so you’ve inverted what the argument actually was. Guys like PK and the rest of your lot kept telling us in year 2 when he was redshirted that Chest was the missing link, the rebounder we were missing on that 9-9 team. The next season he started off playing well, getting up to 8.7 rebounds per game when he was getting regular minutes. Those same posters were saying it was part of McMahon’s plan and that Chest was an NBA player then when he and McMahon fell out and his minutes went to nothing the same posters claimed he was shite. This is where you jumped in and started calling him trash. After the season when you were claiming Tugler was an AA I pointed out that Chest had better numbers in almost every category which is when you started spurging out and trying to lie about what actually took place on this topic. Now that we’ve got that straight we can talk about underachieving players and players who’ve performed much better without McMahon than with which includes just about all of them.

Smart move to Mc’Keep him another season, but only if we can snag another Miss St. non starter big in the portal to go along with our 10 ppg Aussie signees.

You’re close, his biggest issue is that he has one bullet in the chamber going up against machine guns. His teams are good, half court offensive teams when they don’t turn the ball over but that’s it. They’re not good on D, they don’t do much on D, they’re poor in transition on both ends, his teams don’t rebound well on either end, he doesn’t tailor his offense to his talent and they’re not good situationally. You’re not gonna win in the SEC by just being a nice half court offensive team. You can be a successful coach at the lower levels doing that but not at the P4 level.

I can assure you it’s the X’s and the O’s just as much as the Jimmy and the Joe’s.very very bland offensive style and don’t get me started on the defense, it honestly reminds me of a 2 or 3A high school coaching style used to emphasize fundementals, which is fine for high school but doesn’t fly at the college level. Maybe he could get away with it at Murray St due to the level of competition but not in the SEC. Zero wrinkles in it very predictable .
