They're both equally hot, but tiger girls are more athletic. So they'd win in a fight.

Golden girls have richer dads though, so they'd win in a lawsuit.

The Tiger Girls now have more girls show up at their auditions than the Golden Girls. That says a lot. A former Golden Girl (from 2014) told me it was common to have over 100 girls at tryouts. She told me this year had around 45 at tryouts! Something is wrong with this picture.
The Golden Girls are possibly on a downward spiral with the current Golden Band regime because they do not believe in Golden Girl features as part of the halftime show. The Golden Girls (and their alumni) are VERY upset about this. Last year, not a single halftime show featured the Golden Girls!

Announce a catfight will be held after the game to settle it.

More fans would stick around for the second half.

The Tiger Girls are more than that. They are also LSU's competitive dance team. Almost always one of the top finishers at the NCAA Nationals every year, and are recognized as one of the best in the country year after year.

They won the national championship a couple years ago. Their ring is pretty awesome.

Unless things have changed, the Golden Girls only dance at football games. The Tiger Girls perform at men's and women's basketball games, gymnastic meets, and a few other sporting events. I always wondered why the Tiger Girls don't also attend home football games and dance on the sidelines next to the cheerleaders. Many other schools have more than one dance team at football games.

The Golden Girls are considered to be an auxiliary unit of the band, like the colorguard. The Tiger Girls are a spirit group, similar to the cheerleading squad. My cousin was a member of the Golden Girls back in the days before the Tiger Girls even existed.

This shows that much (most) of the dance talent at LSU is showing up at Tiger Girl tryouts.

I'm pretty sure that I saw them dance at more than one game last year. That said, I don't doubt that the current band administration is trying to phase both them and the colorguard out. That was one of the issues at hand when control of Tiger Band was removed from the athletic department and placed under the School of Music. Roy KIng asserted that is was a money grab to get the stipends usually awarded to the auxiliary groups.

Yes, I saw them dance as well. However, the tradition of having a "Golden Girl feature" seems gone. I didn't say they were phasing the Golden Girls and Color Guard out, just changing a longtime tradition which might have something to do with the reduction of girls trying out for Golden Girls (and the increase in girls trying out for Tiger Girls). I hope the Golden Girls and Color Guard (who by the way have their lowest membership in 10-15 years) can survive the current administration.
