You tried to make the argument Saban losing to UAB was worse than O losing to Troy.
You ignored all the surrounding circumstances that couldn’t be more different.
Losing to UAB was bad, sure, but it was an outlier. Meanwhile, O also lost by 30 (worst in series history) to MSU, fired his OC to promote a TE coach, went back on all his promises, did worse than his predecessor, had the worst recruiting class in over a decade, and reverted to his Ole Miss habits...all in his first year.

Really? His tenure at Michigan State was pretty good, but not amazing. He certainly hadn't done anything at LSU yet to prove anything.

1.went 10-2 at toledo( won the conf.)
2.he took the Cleveland Browns to the #1 defense in the NFL.
3.took a program coming off sanctions and had a top 10 finish.

You can’t simply justify a loss against a team like Troy. They had players that were good and some might get drafted but LSU had how many players that are going to be drafted this year?
Without looking, LSU probably has 6-8 guys ranked in top 100 prospects and troy might have 2-4. Not to mention the players that stayed at LSU and will also be drafted high in the next coming years
Bottom line, Troy was better than we thought but we shouldn’t have lost to them and by losing to them, it puts a big mark on Coach O
