And we scored nothing in the first half. But we were competitive.

What was the final score....

We started scoring consistently when O “meddled” with the offense and forced Etling back into the game...

Oh my goodness. Forced? O said all along that Etling would be the starter. Not sure where this "forcing Danny back into the game" came from.

The no scoring happened in the first half which resulted in what I posted earlier. O meddled and admitted to it and the result was no points in the first half. When he finally let Canada do his actual job, (gasp) we scored.

Spin that how you want it but when the man himself admits it, it's kinda hard to argue with it.

The only reason why he admitted to “tweaking” with the offense was to take monkey of the back of the players not being able their blocks...

This is what real coaches do...accept responsibility even when it really wasn’t his fault...he couldn’t go in the game and block for them...

He thought maybe the shifts were taxing the players mentally and taking away from the physicality of their play....

It was a tweaking that was worth a shot....it didn’t work out, but that doesn’t mean there could have been some other coaching insight that could have helped the way the game was unfolding...

Sometimes you just have to realize the players were just not cutting it.....O tries to take the blame and the entire fan base turns on him...

We were weak and inexperienced on our lines....that’s the reason why we lost and No coach could have overcome that....

Jimbo Fisher loses one guy...the QB and his season falls apart....why he gets a pass.....

I love the whole line of reasoning that he had been proven in the past....so what....

Also.......Etling was pulled because like all the fans believe—he’s shite...he’s the reason the offense isn’t working....so the coaches tried something new...put in the other qb...

When it was clear the MB was hurting the team....because the line wasn’t blocking and forced him to make bad decisions...they put Etling back in....

Face the fact here....the line was inexperienced and young and could not blow Troy off the ball.....did you even watch the game?

That’s not on the coach....

Sometimes you have put the blame where it belongs and stop being so politically correct....

BS

If he was a capable coach the players wouldn't have to worry about that. Especially against freaking Troy.

Yeah? He's the head coach. Everything falls in his lap. Like his hiring and firing of Canada? And the in depth search for an OC?

Taking the blame is one thing against good teams. He played two teams that were above 500, beating one. That's his highlight.

I don't give two craps about what Jimbo Fisher does.

O hasn't run a successful program at two different SEC schools.

But O had enough confidence in him to finish the season, no?

They were a good team, but there’s no excuse for us losing to them. It was a reality check to the program where it is, and hopefully next year we are more successful.

And before you start... Think about it...............

Not sure why you bring up Miles in regards to a post about Saban and UAB. You seem triggered.
But no, I don't have to think about it. What you say is true, but not at LSU, which is all I gaf about.

Besides a higher win %, Miles owns 10 different all time team records at LSU, Saban has 2.
Miles was fired with a better W/L record in his last 5 years (tDecline) than Saban had in his 5 at LSU.

I really don't know what else to say about it.

Keep telling yourself this and accepting mediocrity. It will make it easier when we continue to be irrelevant in CFB while other schools build championship caliber programs.

If we are starting to claim how Troy is such a quality football team, I'm afraid this is the beginning of the end for the LSU football program.

Did we get pounded by Mississippi State, losing by 30 (worst in program history) because they’re a good football team too? They went 4-4 in the SEC.

Lol. I stated this before, but I'll state it again

In 2015 a 9-3 LSU team beat a 12-2 conference champion in Western Kentucky, 48-20 in a monsoon. That Western Kentucky team had one other loss and it was to another Power 5 team, on the road, by 3 points.

Troy lost the very next game, at home, vs a 4 win South Alabama team. We were freaking down 24-7 with 8 minutes to go in the freaking game AT HOME to that Troy team. If anybody watched that game, they'd say the game was no where near close as the final score showed.

Don't give O any leeway with this shite.

holy shite how is this still being discussed.

just because a team has double digit wins does not make them a good football team.

case in point, had LSU beat ND like all the O supporters predicted LSU would, LSU would be a 10 win team, that does not necessarily mean that they were good.

Troy is a well coached team. they are not talented. this is not my opinion. this is based on the recruiting rankings. Troy has not had a top 50 recruiting class. they do not have a single 4* on their roster. they do not even have the luxury of carrying the full limit of 85 scholarship athletes.

if you think Troy is a good football team, its because you are not being objective and are trying to explain away one of the worst losses in program history.

That was a test to see if it was the OL or the QB
