Just to be fair I think Oregons defense is going to be the #5 or #6th best defense we see this season, so I don't think it's out of line to say he needs to play better.

People love the tigers and want to see them do well. Why can't people talk about the players on the team? Lee played "OK" not great but OK. :)

I hope Les refuses to be critical of Lee, tells him he did a great job and to keep it up. We really do not need the head coach being critical of our tigers.

The sky always falls on the Rant.
If Oregon is the third best team in the country, then the rest of the season will be a walk in the park. However, Oregon could not beat half of the sec teams Saturday night or any other week this year.
Great win, but we have a lot to improve on. We will be fine and great things are in store for this team.

This is absurd. You guys trump up the SEC way too much.
The teams at the top of the SEC are great, no doubt. But there are a lot of crappy teams in the conference as well.
Oregon has a lot of talent on that team. I wouldn't be surprised if they ran the table the rest of the way.
No reason to sell this victory short.

To be honest, I haven't seen this at all. I've seen a lot of people happy that LSU won. I've seen people who have proactively chimned in to praise Lee and I've seen people who pointed out that his stats were not much different from the type of stats that were getting Jefferson lambasted last year.
Lee is the QB and I support him 100%. But I think this whole JJ/JL thing that has festered over serveral years now is just a kind of manufactured controversy. It's possible to point out good things and bad things about both and I don't think doing so makes people bad fans.
To be sure there are those that are prickly when one or the other are critized at all. But these people just seem to be more invested in a particular player than in the team as a whole.

bullshite - Les needs to tell Lee what he did wrong and how to correct it and them give him the opportunity to improve.
However, I agree that he should not criticize him - or any other player - in public, so if that is what you mean, I withdraw my BS call.
Les needs to encourage Lee but not blow smoke up his arse. Level with the kid - "you did this great - here is what you can improve"
