Answer my question.

Who do you want to start vs Tulane, and who from the pen is also going that game?

This has been asked at least 5 times. No answer. All he’s said is if LSU uses Hurd, Coleman,Skenes, or Floyd in the 1st game we are doomed.

It’s a pointless hypothetical. There is nothing that has happened this season that makes you think this will happen.

1. Carmouche has only pitched more that 6 innings 4 times all year and more than 7 1 time.

2. LSU has consistently driven up starters pitch counts to where even if they are keeping LSU off the scoreboard they are at 100 pitches in the 5th or 6th inning.

You are missing the point. I used that 6 run number because it's not out of the realm of possibility and Johnson is probably trying to give himself a significant advantage on the mound.

This is about risk. How much risk are you willing to take. If you don't throw Hurd, who are you throwing? Cause most of our other guys are gas cans at times.

People keep talking about Money. He pitched against Tulane this year. Gave up 2 runs in 2 and a third. What happens if we find ourselves in that situation in this game...

Again many here disagree but that was exactly what he did against uga.

What did he do against MSU (the team that crapped all over LSU at the box)?

You mean the guy that is 5-8 with a 5.44 era?

Yea, your point?

If ty Floyd and his 5.76 conf ERA or Hurd and his
13.81 ERA can put it together one time, why can’t other guys?

Tulane sucks but this isn’t the usual 4 seed pitching matchup, especially consider LSU wants to roll out a lineup with 4 lefties.

Whoever pitches game 1 can pitch some on Monday to go to the super regional. If skenes pitches Friday, feel like it’s a guarantee win. Then worst case, he pitches on Monday. Point is, you can use your best pitcher twice if needed. If he pitches on Saturday, he done for the weekend. That’s what everyone is thinking. Get the win, watch skenes pitch count and if needed he can go on Monday a few innings

When we played them earlier we started with Little and Money and they combined for 3.1 IP 4 H 3 ER 3 BB 5 Ks and Money came out in the 4th in a tied game. And Tulane was throwing Johnny Wholestaff too, not Carmouche. You can't just trot Money/Little/Dutton out there and risk blowing your entire bullpen in game 1 or potentially having to burn Skenes in a loser bracket game. Let Hurd go deep and trust Coop, Ack, and Guidry to shut the door throughout the weekend

Bertman taught us that you pitch to get there. Pitch Skenes! If Hurd lays an egg and the blowpen screws up Skenes, then you just got knocked out with your second best pitcher sitting in the dugout.

Also, going up 1-0 in your stadium on a Friday night with Skenes could help the intimidator!

Baseball is all about the hot hand and Tulane is hot.

Cant look past people. Hurd needs to throw and be dominant.

Do you really think Tulane is a bigger threat than Oregon St?

Lsu wont go undefeated in this Regional unless they come out like a different team than they been showing the last 5 weeks.

If lsu had no injuries, i think LSU goes to omaha. Either way ill be there!

That line of thinking is what brought us the statement….”that’s baseball”.
