Oregon State pitching staff is terrible. This isn’t 2017 beavers.

Usually, a bad Tulane level team has a single starter that is legit enough to make you think twice.

They don’t tho. A simple look at their stats shows you that.

Skenes will go 7+ in game 2. We’ll be fine.

Hurd goes game one. If he goes 5inn that will be awesome, then you’ll need to piece together the last 4 with the pen.

Game three, Floyd and whoever is left, or fresh enough to come in and give you and inning or two.

Coleman, Ackenhausen, Guidry, Cooper may need to pitch in multiple games.

The goal is to win one at a time, not look ahead.
We will need the bats to come alive and keep the foot on the pedal this weekend regardless of who’s pitching.

Skip had the philosophy of winning game 1 and doing everything you can to stay in the winners bracket. You never play for tomorrow.

Yet unless he was facing Ben Sheets when he was a 2 seed he never pitched his ace in game one of a regional.

This is a big LHP with stuff that will pitch professionally. This isn’t some dude from the SWAC that throws 84mph & will walk 6 guys
tell that to the 40 teams that beat them. If we worried about a 40 loss team then so be it bro. Your right use one of our aces. We will lose on the back end. Its cool bro. Hows ascension parish these days?

So who do you pitch? People have said Money His longest outing of the year is 3.2ip, and 65pitches. So after 4 innings what’s your plan?

This is where I'm at. Hurd has the potential to eat a lot of innings which is huge in a regional.

You’re*

And we have one ace.

And no you don’t use an ace vs a 4 seed.

i get what your saying. What happened all last month? None of this worked except hurd. He needs to be there on the back end of the regional. Jmo. Im out.

Who plans to help Skenes to close out OSU in g2?

Ack, Cooper, and Guidry for sure. Herring is good for one inning.

A two seed in the NCAA tourney is better than a team that didn’t make it? Shocking.

19-40 but got hot at the right time. More importantly though we can’t get so cute and overthinking that we screw around and lose the first game. Getting into the winners bracket using Hurd, Money, or even Floyd is more important than saving “everyone” only to mess around and lose and then have to sweat out elimination games.

Hurd goes game one vs a glorified mid-week game vs a terrible opponent. Then you piece it together.

Hurd can come back and throw if you need him to start in an “if necessary” game. Obviously on a low pitch count, with Johnny Wholestaff.

I’m also okay with Money starting game one, but you don’t want to have to go in the pen early shall Tulane hit Money early. That would be a disaster. Put Hurd on the mound to eat innings, and stay away from the pen. He’s coming on lately.

Hypothetically, if that guy were to go 9 innings and give up 6 (I rounded up) to us, do we win?

I don't think anyone here can honestly, confidently say yes.

If LSU jumps out early on Tulane you can pull Hurd to have him available in relief or even start the if necessary game if you need to

You’re not making sense. You say LSU is doomed if they go into the losers bracket. Maybe, maybe not. But you don’t want them to use the best pitchers to stay out of it. You want them save pitching like there will be a game 4. I’m confused.

You shouldn't be telling anybody why they are wrong. You have been wrong about everything all season. You still want to tell us how Floyd shouldn't be a starter?
