This was my biggest surprise from the press conference. I agree with many of you where the offense feels better, and now we have numbers to back it up. No more total shutdowns by our offense, we have a system in place, just need the pieces.

The game was more close than the score showed. Bama made the plays that mattered, but we aren't far away.

YAY! If yards were points and pennies were dollars, LSU would be 7-2 and I'd be a billionaire.

Haha. What does that matter? And what pieces do you speak of, are they currently committed?

It's not a moral victory. I saw an offense that went out there and outgained Bama after getting their shite pushed in the past 2 years. It's promising regardless of the loss, especially after losing to Troy.

That & losing the turnover battle. Even though it was one turnover, it proved to be extremely costly. Without Etling's pick, it's probably a one possession game late in the 4th quarter.

Need some meds for that depression? Geezum man, you have to find something to build upon, and there are positives to work with. It wasn’t 21 points, now was it?

Agree 100%. Hurts 3rd down scramble away from a sandwich sack and the INT were the biggest plays in the game.

LSU missing the deep ball were also missed opportunities that needed to be executed better. QB throwing ability and WR fighting the DBs for position on those deep balls need to be executed better. That first one was a poor throw that if Chark fights back to the ball harder Fitzpatrick gets flagged for interference.

I'm so glad that's the last time we'll play against JK Scott.

Right. Congrats on the moral victory, which is what your post accurately describes.

What a shitbird. Any honest positive evaluation of what we saw last night is now going to get the moronic , slack- jawed “ moral victory “ ridicule, huh ? Stay insufferable bro .

Not a moral victory, but a "the ship is heading in the right direction" confirmation. The line stood up on both sides. Pass blocking still needs to improve, but we roughed up their players for a change. IMO, we were the bullies but they got the win. There was a warning shot sent that LSU is coming.

I feel pretty good about the game. Sure, I would have liked to win. No melting today.

Remember that old saying, "Statistics are for LOSERS"?

Like O said, it’s about execution. We had the open wide receivers. We had the plays for touchdowns, but we couldn’t hit the throws/make the catches. Those add up in a game where you have to be perfect.

So like the 2011 game where we won on the scoreboard but Saban and Bama said they were the better team...does that make us the 2017 stat winner?
