How can BK say that what they saw on the field yesterday wasn’t what others saw or haven’t been seeing? I mean, in the same press conference, he admitted to getting onto JD for not throwing the ball when he needed to on that 4th down play. I know his stats don’t tell the whole story but JD isn’t an accurate passer with the ball. Yes, his completion percentage isn’t bad but it’s very misleading. There isn’t many throws that are on target and they surely don’t end up where the receivers can continue to run in stride. It’s almost like a magician who gets one over on you by deception. Some of us can see the deception and others cannot. I feel like that’s what we see when we see JD play. I would rather ride or die with another QB that will help open up the offense with his passing ability, which in turn, may open up the running game. No one is scared of JD throwing the ball. JD is who he has always been. A 3 year starter who isn’t changing his game anytime soon.

You’re right, the signs have clearly been there. ESPN hyped us up (Saban’s rat poison) to help this Tennessee is “amazing” narrative they want to push.

I told every TN fan I know in Knoxville to bet huge on -3.5 TN and they refused because they bought the ESPN narrative.

Where is the win in saying his QB is garbage?

He likely doesn’t want the team to quit. The team has access to the press conference too.

He doesn’t have a problem at calling out other aspects of the teams play.

Doesnt have to say the qb is garbage but he could be honest and say we only scored 13 points qb play is not up to our expectations and needs to improve

What will it say about BK or Nuss if Nuss does not see the field again outside of an injury to JD5?

Not a dam thing., do you really believe that playing Nuss would have improved our chances. Nuss was in spring practice and fall practice that failed to beat out Daniel’s. BK is getting paid 10 million a year, do you believe he would jeopardize that over a QB who he feels is the best option. Nuss would have been sacked 3X more had he played over Daniel’s yesterday. I don’t understand how people think QB play is what lost that game yesterday. Our talent level is not anywhere where it needs to be to become a dominate program. My advice is try to watch the game see some of this youth gain experience as opposed to and X and O for the time being.
The recruits in attendance can be sold on you have a chance to see the playing field sooner if you come to play for LSU.

Kelly’s quotes are not reassuring. They reek of him being a stubborn old dinosaur a la Les and jimbo.

We do not know what would have happened because it was not attempted. As I have said, if he is that bad, then he should be shown the door at season's end to free up a spot for someone else. JD5 is one of the worst QBs in a long time. The way to defend him is very easy which goes a long way to making the O-line's job much more difficult. No one fears him throwing the ball downfield.

Can't drive the ball 80 yds with this "dink and dunk" offense. One misstep throws a drive right out the window. I hope we throw 10-50 yard jump balls next Sat. That will probably give us 5 fewer punts and maybe 3 more TD's

Of course there is a lot of other things that lost the game, but QB play had a very huge part in the way we lost. Many times during the game there was receivers that the ball could have been throw and never was.

Besides JD’s inaccuracies throwing the ball….the ball does not reach his wr in a timely manner….that’s why they don’t get yac very often…

I feel like y’all aren’t even considering the possibility that Kelly might be right, and the group think might be wrong - that Daniels might have had a much better game in the areas of concern (taking shots down the field, getting the ball out faster, etc.).

I haven’t rewatched yet, but watching live it seemed like he played a good game for the most part. Certainly not perfect and he did miss a couple of opportunities. But almost all college QB’s miss some opportunities.

His accuracy wasn’t great particularly on some of the short crossing routes. But there were catchable balls our WR’s simply didn’t catch. There were throws into tight coverage our guys weren’t able to grab. Everybody talks about our WR corps being “elite,” but they aren’t exactly making highlight plays when they do get the opportunity.

What about our complete inability to run the ball? What about the times we let a guy go completely unblocked on a 4-man pass rush? The fumble on the opening kickoff? You don’t think there’s any chance Kelly was right when he made that comment?

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted into oblivion and flamed by the same people who have been instigating this shite since fall camp started, but whatever. This place has jumped the shark. People want to burn it all down when Kelly is 4-2 in the middle of his first year, just because we got beat badly by a top 10 team and he’s not playing the QB you want? Really? Is that how mature our fan base is?

WATCH THE GAME. see where balls were thrown early and why. see where they were thrown late and why. IT IS ALL OVER THE frickING BOARD MAN. STOP BEING IGNORANT. we had ZERO SHOT with JD based on the defense playing him on his weaknesses.

No, it’s worse than that. One guy literally said we should throw 10- 50 yd jump balls in the next game. That’s how not only immature but galactically stupid some in this board are. It’s truly a sports gutter.
