Hell we finished #1 in 2007 and some bitched because of the 2 losses.

Kelly inherited a talented but shallow roster

He inherited the least talented LSU roster since DiNardo took over for Curley.

We could or we may not move at all. We had the biggest blowout in bowl history against Purdue last year and didn't move at all in the polls. I think the pollsters are valuing bowls now as much as the players and fans do, not much

ld Miss and Mizzou can easily drop below LSU. Choklahoma might lose to Arizona.

Thats 3 teams LSU would pass. Since LSU is at #13 now. Math is hard but seems like #10 is doable.

Why would LSU pass Ole Miss with the same record, Ole Miss playing a tougher bowl opponent, and them winning the h2h against LSU?

It hasn’t been a “bad” season. Anyone who says otherwise is just a fool. But it is also reasonable to be a bit disappointed and feel this was a missed opportunity for a really great season. Last time LSU had and offense/QB this good they had an historic 15-0 championship season. A season in which the defense wasn’t necessarily “good”, but good enough. If the 2023 defense was even somewhat close to the 2019 unit, Meaning just average relative to the rest of the county, we would be getting ready to watch a playoff run.

Exactly! I just let them entertain me with their ridiculous takes. We have some very stupid people on this board.

Wish I had your patience Peak but I love making them look like the fools they are.

I'll definitely take it.

Kelly just needs to make some coordinator and ast. coaching changes and he can further adapt his methods to the SEC.

I'm thinking finishing #12 at the worst-case #10 is reaching

so i guess the fact that the coach you are speaking of...losing to troy didnt matter? or the fact that after the losing season it went to shite doesnt matter? or the fact that he left kelly with under 40 scholarship players doesnt matter?

guess the fact he inherited a stacked roster didnt help him?

and how the frick did kelly get lucky with campbell and jones? who the hell do you think signed them?

got retards everywhere on this board lately.

I know we want championships but that ain’t bad in year 2 under Kelly with a historically bad defense

I think most fans would be satisfied with that, provided that Kelly makes staff changes on the defensive side of the ball. If House, Lindsay, Steeples, etc. return next season, a lot of people aren't going to be happy.

Who is responsible for LSU having the historically bad defense?

TBF, a lot of LSU fans will be happy about something else even if they don't return.

Missouri is the only one that might realistically lose.

Ole Miss, OU and Mizzou are all underdogs in their games and you don’t think it’s realistic that all three could lose?

FYI Mizzou is the smallest underdog of the three (I.e. the best chance to win)

55-49

Jump Ole Miss???

For that to happen PSU has to not just beat Ole Miss, they will need to dominate them. A close game probably won’t move LSU above Ole Miss because of the debacle on 9/30. So I’m not sure I’d take that bet.

On the other hand, PSU will take the field and be ready to play. Ole Miss is not so predictable. If they don’t bring their A game PSU make Ole Miss look like old piss. If that happens then it’s possible LSU would jump them. But only is LSU has an excellent day.
