fathoming the polls is really no great mystery. the voters are looking at future opponents left on everyone's schedule.. LSU is really a top 10 team today. But, our next game is alabama. Look at these cupcakes ranked ahead of us. then look at their schedules. their chances of losing against their weak opponents is not strong.

With the hate and the disdain for Kiffin and LSU, need to run the table against the gumps, Tejas, and Tenner. Not worried about Arky. No room for error. Depending on how things play out, a 3-loss SEC team may get into playoffs, but CFP would likely frick LSU if they're on the bubble.

Even if we beat Bama they will say it was a 2 loss Bama so not impressed. And then even if we beat Texas they’ll say it was a 2 loss Texas team, not impressed. Same with Tennessee.

Nothing will fall into place if we lose 1 more game. A 3 loss LSU team will not get in, the media, athletic directors etc who does the voting hates LSU / Kiffin. Any other 3 loss team would have a better chance than LSU.

Uh, have you been watching the SEC this year? You must be thinking of the early to mid-eighties Big 8 when Nebraska and Oklahoma played a one game schedule. We beat Alabama and can finish the year 10-2 or can finish on a three game losing streak. Lane himself said these games are toss ups. Foolish to speak in absolutes; this league can humble you every seven days.

We can lose to Bama and beat Texas and Tennessee and end up ahead of them. Thats why I think we can afford to lose at least one more.
