Newby transferred in before Nikki left

Well then let’s just say Newby coached by Fargas would not have been near as effective as Newby coached by Mulkey.

Dawn Staley says the record would be the same if the fans would have just supported Fargas like they support Mulkey.

So if a team wins it’s because of the fans? I don’t think Gino or Pat Summit would agree. It’s a ridiculous statement to make.

You would not have had Newby, Gusters, and Morris and would be depending on players whose asses never leave the bench under Mulkey for meaningful minutes.

Newby was an addition by Fargas but this season simply doesnt happen without bringing in Morris on top of the good coaching. Its evident how much we struggle we score without Morris and we have won 25 games because we have scored much more on top of playing defense.

It sure would be nice if KM could convince Caitlin Clark to leave Iowa and come to LSU for her last 2 years. That girl is incredible. She is legitimately the female Steph Curry. If you haven’t seen her play, go catch some of the highlights of their game today.

Kim will hit the portal hard this offseason and will be a contender for anyone she wants.

I’m curious though. Why do you think Clark would transfer to LSU? I thought she might be a Louisiana blue chip that Nikki couldn’t be bothered to recruit, but looks like she is an Iowa native.

Why would she leave home to come and play at LSU?

The starting 5 at Iowa are the same starting 5 from last year AND they are all back next year. They will be a top 5 team for sure. Clark is unbelievable. She leads nation in scoring and assists. I do hope Kim goes and gets some pure shooters from the midwest. Those Iowa/Iowa State/K state girls are assassins from long range. It would be great to balance our athletes with a pure shooter.

Oh, I don’t think she would leave her home state school. It’s just nice to dream and hope she might. She makes watching women’s basketball enjoyable.

Flau'jae Johnson coming in is a very strong 3 point shooter.

True Dat!
The ending of the game was about as close to a total collapse as I've ever seen in basketball - Men's or Women's.

Turnovers, missed free throws, biased officiating (particularly on charge calls and no calls), etc. The ending of that game had it all.

Positive spin: We were without a top scorer and should have still won by double digits if we just take care of the basketball and make free throws. Props to Tennessee for putting up a great effort defensively at the end.

Better news for LSU: WE play them in SEC tourney (qtr finals) and (I hope) we get Morris back? If not we know we can beat them if we play our game.

Food for thought: LSU did NOT attempt a single 3-pointer down the stretch. They had wide open looks time after time but I'm sure Mulkey instructed them to get the ball inside or shoot inside the 3-point line. That philosophy failed miserably...... Maybe take 1 of those next time once the shot clock gets down to 4-5 seconds.

Props to the Lady Tigers. Well done getting a victory against a very good Tenn. team at their house!

Kim needs to bring Will with her on that recruiting trip to the Midwest then, because that's exactly what the men's LSUAAU team needs.
