She’s a GOAT! Baylor’s loss is our gain!

Woody must have come in and laid down the law. Caldwell has been coasting for a few years

Or she already had a talented, albeit young and inconsistent team last season who are showing major growth this year, and recruited a top 20 freshman class (before Scott even arrived).
Update: Lady Tigers lead 45-27. Would be even more if not for the excessive turnovers.
...showcasing some dominant D.
If it weren’t for excessive turnovers, especially some silly unforced ones, the lead would be much bigger.

How many years has this been going on? That's pretty cool.

This has been going on for a number of years. Maybe like 5 or so?
She’s got good talent this year.

How in the hell did this start out as a thread actually praising womens basketball and end up as a pissing and moaning session about gymnastics not winning the SEC?

Because “secfan” or whatever his/her name is is a miserable person and needs lots of therapy.

Dude you are so miserable. How are still bitter about a coach that has brought back to back to back SEC titles to LSU..... in a thread about a women’s basketball team that is ranked for the first time in YEARS?

Some people are just so unhappy with their own lives, they have to put others (even people they don’t know) down to fill the void in their lives.
Also, it should be noted the Lady Tigers are 19 in the RPI.

Pretty sure this stellar freshman class was signed before he came along. And Khayla Pointer and Ayanna Mitchell have been on the team for the last 2-3 years.
Lady Tigers appear in the top 25 of the AP poll for NCAAW basketball.

I continue to say that Caldwell can coach, but she needs to get better talent.

I’ve defended Nikki in the past, however, not dogmatic about it. In regards to better talent, LSU managed to snag a top 20 recruiting class last year (the current Freshmen class). Their contribution has already been evident (offense especially...although I don’t want to undersell Khayla Pointer’s growth in the off season and what she’s done...a top recruit a few years ago)c as they grow and gain more experience, they’ll be a force to be reckoned with. Tia Young (last year’s HS player of the year in LA) has the potential to do for the program what Seimone Augustus did in the past. IMO. Potential key word.

I don't know anything other than that about them though

Well, to add some info:

•They are now 7-1 (the one loss was a close one to highly ranked and experienced FSU, but I’m willing to bet, if LSU played again, LSU would win; the team has already shown a lot of growth this season).
•The freshman class was a Top 20 recruiting class.
•LSU returns a very experienced and talented defense. One of the top defenses in the country last year. Inconsistent on offense last year.
•The new players add a lot for the offense, as evident so far this year. 60+ percent field goal and 3 point percentage tonight against Memphis (89-58 win). A strong offense like this with the usual strong defense, look out everyone else.
You can watch the all-around or any individual event through the ESPN app/WatchESPN online. If you have asking TV, it’s under ESPN3
Seeing how they didn’t give the Alabama Florida softball game the boot yesterday before the 2nd semifinal, I doubt they’ll do that today. ESPN doesn’t prioritize gymnastics.

Great defensive effort holding a team that came into tonight averaging 74 points a game to just 34 points!! Geaux Ladies!
Idk, take good players from where you can get???
Well anyway, these two ladies mentioned in the original post are both Louisiana players. I think they are making a more concerted effort to land Louisiana players, but that’s just what I heard through the rumor mill, take from it what you will.
Two of the Lady Tigers’ signed recruits have received McDonald’s All American nominations: 5-star TiaraYoung and 4-star Dominique Davis. Can’t wait to see them in purple and gold next season!
