If Nikki doesn’t get that job and Mulkey is committed, you fire Fargas, pay her buyout and hire Mulkey.

Scott Woodward, with an agreement to hire Kramer's mom in hand, when Nikki shows up back to work after having the WNBA thing fall through:

If Tigerbait’s source is giving this a thumbs up, good enough for me...

Leave it to you to come up with spin for a failed head coach. Least surprising post on this whole thread.

I’m surprised (if it is indeed Kim) she wants to take on a rebuild this late in her career.

Rebuilds don’t take long at a place like LSU. Our current 3 major men’s HC all took on rebuilds to an extent; 2 got a natty and the other (Wade) an SEC in their first 3 years.

I didn't even know Herman Johnson's mom coached basketball... Oh wait, I think I have my legendary LSU stories mixed up

I’ll be somewhat a fan as long as NCAA doesn’t allow transgender (mentally ill) athletes to play WBB.

Considering she is a big name in WBB and with the portal, it would take very little time to turn the roster around talent wise

Should’ve hired Kim a long time ago.

Yeah but how will Kramer Robertson feel about it?

So while Kim is on the sidelines at LSU, do we see a shot of Kramer up in the stands talking about how he is Kim's son?

This is some serious "Life has gone full circle" shite going on here

University of Louisville’s WBB HC, the REAL UL and not ULL, Mr Jeff Walz would not be a bad choice.

In the days of Brodhead, he plucked Scott Luster from UL, ironically ULL’s WBB HC is a Brodhead, LOL, and Luster led LSU to the NCAA semi-finals, twice, in the early 90’s!!! This is a thinly veiled dig at the Cajun Circus. McGill-Toolen HS in Mobile brought us Monique Adams and Nyla Shepard. We also had the Brazil connection, Reis-Sisters. But I digress...

Back when we were looking for someone to replace Van, Walz was my FIRST choice and then Nikki. Jeff Walz would be EXCELLENT. I just can't find a reason he'd leave a school where basketball is #1, they've got one of THE BEST arenas in all of college basketball, and his salary is $1.5 million/year. But, he'd be as good a choice as Mulkey in my opinion.

2 problems:

1) We probably have to hire a woman in this spot.

2) This was discussed on BR sports radio yesterday and I thought it was a good point. As good of a resume' as Walz has, he will not cause any amount of excitement around LSU Wbb because nobody knows who he is. The example they used on the radio was Brenda Frese at Maryland. Same thing. Great resume'. Probably easily in the top 5-7 coaches in the nation. But she wouldn't make a splash here either. She would still play to a 95% empty arena at first, then you hope she builds the fan base over time.

It is Geno, Mulkey, or bust of you want a hire that moves the needle and gets people immediately interested. And there is less than 0% chance of Geno...

Ah well, I hope it’s true. Even if it isn’t this has been kinda fun, like Miles-to-Michigan with people posting flight tracking, etc.

Just for a joke, I posted that Miles and the Michigan AD had been seen at Raising Cane’s. By that evening, it was being passed around as serious info on the Michigan boards.
