Sorry, this simply isn't true. I went to every game except Tennessee and there were guys running wide open all year. I wish we had access to all-22 footage.
Yea it was much worse in real life than on TV. I’m convinced that in JD’s bad games, he wasn’t even using his eyes to look for WR’s in favor of trying to move defenders around to create space to run. It was awful

Constantly! It was an onging chant in my section.

but a lot of this was due to his receivers not getting the separation and space they needed.
I saw an interview with (I think) Steve Young one time. They asked him what the biggest difference in college and pro was.
He said “well in college you throw it to the guy who’s open. In the pros, nobody is ever open”
The SEC is pretty tough. I’m not saying it’s in the same level as the NFL but I honestly don’t think Daniels demonstrated much confidence in his throwing capabilities or in his receivers capabilities. I think that’s possibly because he is such a capable runner he figured he didn’t need to.
He’s just too damn picky.

Great question gumbopot.
371att (doesn't include sacks or tuck and runs) x ~.55 (it has to be more than half the time) = ~204 yelling / 13 games =
Me yelling chuck it, let it go, he's open, got'em, get rid of it, throw the damn ball, etc about 15 times a game. LOL
Leave my math alone.

You do realize that sky cam footage was posted here damn near every week and proved what you’re saying is 100% false.

More times than I could count. Talented QB but consistently late on throws.

Right up there with “just catch the ball” when the opponent punted.

I lurked here for 10 years, finally created an account, awaited activation, linked an av, and did all kinds of other shite just to reply.... a bunch.
I said it a really big bunch.

Not nearly as many times as I said, dang, we sure in the hell don’t look like a program that was one game under 500 for the last two years or a program picked to finish 5th in the west
