Have you ever wondered why every QB in the history has a lower and lower completion rate the longer the throw is?

no because I know football.

You think a marksman puts the same number of shots in the bullseye at 200 yards as he does at 800 yards?

nope. I also dont act like the marksman intentionally missed his shots.

You wanna know what a great long-throw QB looks like? Watch Joe Burrow.

he underthrew some balls this year. fact. I'm sorry you cant admit that small thing.

Exactly, and it all balances out, on rare occasions even our talented receivers drop a ball. Sometimes posters analyze to paralysis.

Were they really under-thrown are did he put it where the receiver could make a play on the ball?

They're underthrown to the point where better DBs could make a play on the ball.

This is the whole point of the OP.

I find the deep under throws to be done on purpose IMO. It happens way to often for it to just be a “lack of arm strength”. We score damn near everytime JB9 “underthrows” it

Wrong.

OP is trying to establish the false narrative that "underthrows" are a deficiency in Burrow's skill set.

There is ZERO statistical evidence to support that.

Only 3 SEC QBs have thrown 20+ yard passes more then 40 times this season - Burrow, Fromm and Nix... their completion percentages:

Burrow - 56.9%
Fromm - 26.67%
Nix - 24.14%

Probably so. But you are nitpicking the accuracy of the most accurate quarterback in NCAA history. Of course he throws an errant pass now and then.

Also, under throwing on purpose is an actual thing:

“When a guy’s back is turned, he has no chance. And we’ve always taught the quarterback, if a defender is not looking at you then one of the receiver’s hands is open — either the infield hand or the backfield hand,” said Cardinals coach Bruce Arians. “And most guys are running at full tilt, and if the quarterback is adept at throwing it, it’s the easiest completion in the league.”

Did the OP mention receivers that were wide open? I seemed to have miss that in his post... because he didn't post that.

And also I missed any of those that happened during the season.... because they didn't.

You dont underthrow receivers when they have a step on the DBs. This isnt complicated people.

Back shoulder throws are intentional and completely unrelated to underthrowing deep passes.

It's clear to me you are probably trolling...the relationship between great recievers and great QB is something of beauty. They cover each other's mistakes on field (underthrown balls, bad routes, etc) without question Burrow made some throws that werent perfect and the recievers have made catches to cover it. That being said, Burrow is an amazing QB and very accurate all over the field and questioning his deep ball placement is straight stupid. You're nitpicking this and you're obviously a troll.
