Watched the spring game highlights

I bet two seasons ago you said we wouldn’t win the West and last season, Jayden wouldn’t win the Heisman.

I watched them too..
I think we will have a championship offense. They look talented and dynamic, even against our poor defense.
Defense is still in transition.
New staff, new plans, same players.
I saw some bright spots, and they have a whole summer to get bigger stronger and more cohesive. They will improve from last year… I’m so confident because we were historically bad and they can only get better.
If we can score every game and get a couple stops here and there, we can easily be 10-2 and in the playoffs.

This could very well be true… But there’s no way you know that from watching the spring game highlights.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but if we are going to be consistent and use history as a guide, we have to acknowledge that last year we were historically great on offense. I don';t think we can expect that again next year, when we lost three first round offensive playmakers.

In this the first spring game you ever watched? The team never looks sharp in spring. They’ve been off a couple months. They are breaking in a new defensive staff with a new system on both sides of the ball. Replacing Daniels, Nabers, and BTJ won’t be easy. Freshman class hasn’t made it to campus yet. Etc.
Give them time. They probably won’t look sharp in Vegas against USC either, but they will get better.

You realize if it was reversed it would mean our O was garbage right? Evaluating anything for a practice against each other is dumb.
