We were throwing the ball well when Burrow had time, and now that i have watched the game again its obvious Ensminger held back. When we first hit the field we were throwing the ball, in 3 and 4 wide sets and doing just enough to get the lead. Once we got a comfortable lead he held the offense back and put the game on the defense.

Im not saying we are Ohio State offensively, but i think alot of you will be pleasantly surprised Saturday. Our offense isn’t vanilla, only when we have a safe lead. I expect us to let everything out against Aub and let our nuts hang.

I honestly believe its not the scheme thats flawed its just the OL. If Rosenthal and Hines and Charles fix the line issues, i believe we are as good as any team

I’m with you. I think it comes down to the offensive line. Hopefully the changes prove to be good, and the offensive line can give him efficient time to throw the ball.

I agree. Burrow is a stud and better than Stidham. He will show up

300 yards passing in 2 games on 50% completion percentage and he's better than the QB that won the SEC West last year.

This happens every single game, like clockwork. We are extremely disappointed and then as the week goes on.. more and more people start to rationalize it as being not so bad.

I’m sorry but it’s been a horrible offensive showing this year outside of like one quarter. It’s always as if, oh if we catch the ball better. Oh we just need to block better. Oh they are holding back and being conservative. Never mind that LSU is among top 10 worst in the entire NCAA in 3rd down conversions.

Since I am a homer/fan I do get excited before kickoff and hope to see a better product. I could see LSU playing better in this game. I just wish we had more positive offensive consistency. I’m tired of the excuses. This is absolutely the truest test of the season. It always has been for me.

Is there a new SEC rule that opposing teams can’t sack LSU QB’s?

Seriously LSU issues passing are NOT the following:

QB

They are or may be:

OL
WR dropping passes
WR unable to get off line of scrimmage
WR unable to get open
OC gameplan
OC playcalling

At best your “analysis” addresses playcalling.

LOL on Rosenthal and Hines. RS candidates. Rosenthal may be a stud in future but even O says it’s next year.

“Orgeron on Dare Rosenthal switching from DL to OL: He's a good fit because of his length. He's 6-8 340. He's a very good athlete. Very tough. Still needs to learn the plays and skills. Not sure how much we can do with him this year.”

So when Burrow was getting hit late in the game it’s because we were being conservative?

We didn’t think of maybe using a back up?

Cooooool

Watch both Aubie games and both LSU games. Tidy up a few things and we have a good chance of breaking the home field curse for this series. Our issues are solvable and tho a good team they ain’t all that.

Let's hope Burrow can go out and prove on the field that he is actually better than Stidham. But, I agree, don't see how you can say that now.

A few of the sacks were also because of coverage and holding on to the ball too long. Burrow will get better with it.

Hard to catch a ball when its only 2 WRs running comeback routes against 7 guys in coverage. The OL, especially Traore, is a huge problem. But if the roster moves help the OL out at all we will be fine.

Hey, i would love it if we had ran the score up against SELU, but its so obvious Ensminger called the dogs off in the 2nd half. We started running the ball on 1st and 2nd down and only had 2 receivers on routes for 3rd and long. I don’t really think we were trying our hardest to get first downs.

During the game i was just as pissed off as you. But after watching it again, its clear we were leaning on the defense to close the game out.

So, in your opinion, the receivers are going to get open easier vs the rest of the schedule than they could do against Southeastern?

I can’t wait to see all the plays E has been holding back. I’m on the edge of my seat.

We have Saadiq Charles back and Deculus will rotate to RT and hopefully they keep Badara Traore far away from the field. If so pressure shouldn’t be as bad as it was against SELU.

The right side of the line cough Traore cough was the problem. Deculus held his own.
