Available and experienced linemen
Convenient how you left that part out...
Everyone (with a brain) knew we were playing with little depth and experience....
That’s a fact, not an excuse...don’t conflate the two....
And also don’t conflate an entire roster on paper with an available (ready to go at game time) roster.....it’s easy the see through your bias
Dude... It's fricking TROY. Can we stop with this? Maybe O will right the ship and bring us back to glory starting this year. God knows he's getting his shot. But can we stop pretending last year was anything but a lackluster year at best and can we stop pretending like losing to Troy in any event is anything but embarrassing? Thank you in advance.

You are defending the first and to-date only LSU coach to lose to a sun belt team.
Don’t fcking talk to us about bias.

We didn't have the linemen to hang with Troy!
Especially with the mass exodus of linemen after the 2016 season.
I'll never forgive Miles for allowing all those linemen to leave the program, 3 months or more after he was fired.
Afterall, we all know that every bad thing that's happened to the program since o took over is Miles fault. Right?
Maybe not all Miles fault, but I know for certain that nothing is o's fault.

You really think O didn’t confer with leaders at LSU on how to handle questions about whether our team could compete or not....
They knew we’d have issues....but they tried their best work around those weaknesses.....and for the most part LSU did compete.....we ended the year with a 9-4 record....last time I checked, that is a winning season ....

You mean the best 3 year stretch of recruiting in LSU’s history? Ok.
You talking about recruits ranking out of HS or NFL drafted talent projections?
How come we started and played a record number of Freshmen last season?

He meddled because he saw the performance on the field wasn’t working....
I am glad he meddled.....at least he was willing to make an adjustment.....it almost worked out for him too.....we almost came back and won

You do realize they scrapped those "adjustments" at halftime and went back to what Canada wanted to do, right? That's by Orgeron's own admission.

Think about this....
Saban “meddled” and took hurts out and put Tua in.....
Tua threw in double coverage too and was intercepted.....a rookie mistake that could have cost Bama the game....
Now imagine if on that last play, Tua would have slipped when he threw the ball and it was intercepted instead......and Bama would have lost because of it....
Would the Bama faithful be questioning Saban about why he “meddled” and decided to put a rookie QB in such an important game?????

Nah...I'm actually settled into enjoying this to be honest. Nothing screams confidence in the current state of the program like arguing we were out-manned by a fricking Sun Belt team.
Look...I disagree with nearly all of them and am confident I could argument a solid point as to why they are wrong, but of all the excuses offered up on behalf of Orgeron's first FULL year as LSU's Head Coach, feeling the need to suggest LSU got pushed around by Troy because we could not match their athletes may be the saddest. When a poster gets to that level of apology for Orgeron, I kind of feel bad for everyone involved.

Hell no! Because he's Saban. And O is a much better coach than Saban will ever be, so we shouldn't question O either. O knows what he's doing. It's all part of his master plan. Trust in O!

Because that’s what head coaches do—they accept blame....
How do you know for sure it wasn’t really the other way around.....
And coach O could’ve just threw Canada under the bus and said.....hey it wasn’t my idea to run the offensive that way in the first half....it was this guy and his complex offense that the players can’t seem to grasp...
You don’t know.....maybe coach O is just took the brunt of the criticism upon himself.....
You can only speculate

Okay Robby, you've convinced me. It's all under control with o at the helm.
Afterall, o and Saban are neck and neck when it comes to coaching prowess and accomplishments.

I choose to believe that Robby is an entertaining troll. The alternative is too scary to contemplate.

What's next...comparing Orgeron's Troy loss to Saban's loss to UAB in 2000?

No no no no no! You got it all wrong TM. Robby has already showed proof that Saban and o are comparable in the coaching world. They both put their pants on one leg at a time.
Unless Robby has some kind of insider knowledge of o putting his on both legs at once.

That is a fair comparison....
Just cause you jest about the possibility doesn’t mean it’s not a fair comparison....
I think you guys are the trolls because you refuse to believe we were playing with a depleted and inexperienced line on both sides of the ball....
You want to bring up the talented roster....but fail to see not all of those players were available at game time (for whatever reason)....
Yeah a team playing with no experience and depth is going to struggle against any team from whatever conference
If you refuse to think that it’s possible, you are a TROLL....

What the hell?
The players admitted they were running plays from 2016. Orgeron admitted he had the shifts eliminated to help the offense. Orgeron and the players both admitted to going back to Canada's offense full-time in the 2nd half.
Are you actually trying to argue that the head coach and players might have made all that up to cover for the OC?

Anyone with a pulse knew there would be growing pains early running Canada’s offense. It was dramatically different than anything we have ever done
We aren’t even a full month into the season and the career DL coach is trying to take charge of the offense instead of letting his offensive coordinator do his job. The entire first half of the Troy game LSU attempted to run the 2016 offense and It resulted in a major struggle with 0 points in the first half. We switched back to Canada’s offense second half and then we finally score and start to move the ball more consistently.
You are glad he meddled? He was the sole reason we didn’t score in the first half lmao
The only adjustment in the second half was letting Canada do his job and now you are praising it?
