quote:

“I interviewed Marcus at LSU,” Orgeron said. “Really, really respect him. I wanted to come up here, I’ve got three sons coaching. I wanted to show them what Notre Dame was and … this is the first time I get to come in and enjoy being around campus.

“And I’ll tell you what, going into that stadium and having the battles and having great memories. Yesterday, we drove up to the stadium, we went to go see their locker room to the right. I’m used to going to the left. But I enjoy being here. I wanted to see Marcus and the staff, bring my sons up here. We’re here all week. We’re just going to have a good time. Fun to be up here.”

It’s hard not to laugh at the irony, though. Notre Dame’s former head coach, Brian Kelly, replaced Orgeron as LSU’s head coach this offseason. On top of that, Kelly recently spoke about his time at Notre Dame and why he left the program, citing the facilities and how he was on “different paths” with the athletic department’s view for the program. Now, Kelly’s in Baton Rouge and Freeman is the Fighting Irish head coach — his first head coaching job.

I think he’s on a path to replace Lee Corso on Gameday.

His cadence and demeanor makes me believe he's shaping himself up again to get another job coaching and or a TV deal.

This clip is night and day difference to how he talked sitting next to Woodward when he was fired.

And he's going to sound more unintelligible than a stroke victim.

If I'm reading through the lines here, sounds like he is trying to get his sons in circulation for some GA positions.

He's probably trying to get his kids jobs at another school.

I’ll never, ever understand all the hate that Coach O gets on this website

watching it all happen: from the melting when he was hired, to the love affair all of y’all showed him after the natty, to outright hate and vitriol directed at him now, was hilarious…. The tiger rant (the internet in general I suppose) is such a fickle shithole

I fit into the first two items listed, not the third. He gave us the greatest season ever and for that I’ll be forever grateful. But he didn’t know how he did it and the wheels fell off quickly. LSU has moved on and so have I. He can do whatever he wants to now…
