meyer wanted to limit tebow's thinking. they rarely passed and didn't run too many real options

Did the throw over the top with about 4 minutes left in the game (the pick) look conservative?

ever so often an offense needs to throw the ball. again a vanilla gameplan.

i give them some credit and we have made improvements from last year. usually gives tebow does checks at the line and plus tebow didn't run nearly as much as normally does. Ok we did a decent job of stopping the dive play that was a little over 20 times last night.

revoke your fancard immediately if as a fan you cant say we played at least a good game on defense (EVERYONE even the gameday guy are saying we played a great game defensively) you are being negative for the sake of who knows why the hell why but I can assure you 95% of the fans dont want you around with you saying crap like that and 100% of the teams would say get the heck out

Lame excuse. Tebow was 100% and said so, and was playing all out. They may have limited some of his carries early on but to say that they played "half speed" or some other such bullshite is just to fall into the trap of mindless thinking and media punditry. Tebow is not that great of a QB or passer, the media has hyped him up to be the next jesus of college football, when in reality, from a skills perspective, he's just not. He's determined and a competitor, but he's not that great of a QB. I never feared his arm, ever, in a game that we played against them.

Most of these guys are just being pro Florida at the expense of being anti LSU. They want to be noticed and so they trash LSU and build up Florida. UF was not impressive at all to me last night. They scored one freaking TD, that's it.

fans cannot be critical? I pay too much for season tickets to watch below average product that we had since 2008. where is the development of our talent?

we still lost and we had a chance to win if we had a better offense. its a joke.

are you satisfied with this team overall performance since 2008. Do you think we have regressed since 2007? what is our gameplan to beat bama? we are an average team now with top 5 talent. coaching is the problem. Oh but I cannot be critical. thats bullshite.

I bet you are that joe fan from denham springs that is satisified with losing 4-5 games a year. I bet you were the fan that would beat their chest and say I was there during the tough years and you don't know what it was like. well pal I don't want to go back to that. I bet you were the guy that hated the saban hire and took shots at him for being a dick. I bet you defended dinardo til the day he was fired by Mark E.

SFP...i find it hilarious the arguments you use against florida are the EXACT arguments u would use to bash les

u say florida is vanilla b/c they knew they could beat us ... yet if Les is vanilla after a victory, it's horrible

Wrong..

Tebow averages 16.8 Attempts per game this year with 155 yd/game

Last night 11/16 for 155 yds.

We saw the real deal last night and we held our own. UF this year is not the UF of last year.

The outside runs you talk about have developed from the backs breaking outside this year against teams with less speed.

C'mon SFP...Do you ever give credit to the Tigers?

I didn't see your stat he is the 2nd all time sec leader in rushing touchdowns. Meyer didn't run tebow like the ram he is. again vanilla.

Tebow has been pulled out of the equivalent of 1 1/4 games this season thus skewing those particular stats. I'm just saying.

ok, here goes..

Tebow rushing

YTD 5 games 72 rushes 4.3/carry 61.8 yds/game

Last night 17 rushes 2.2/carry 38 yds

Guys, WE MADE THEM LOOK VANILLA!!!

They are not the offensive team of 2008. We got the real deal last night. We are just better on defense than Charleston Southern, Troy, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Don't let your dissatisfaction with the offense cloud the vision of what we did on defense.

No I think that the offensive side wasnt good at all, but I can admit and be happy when the TEAM THAT I ROOT FOR did something right. If you cant praise your team in the good spots then I just feel sorry for you. This was a thread about how the UF offense is good BUT OUR DEFENSE WAS BETTER, and I will back my team up when we have a defensive performance like that. It was never about our offensive performance.

As somebody mentioned, UF only punted once and that was on 4th and inches inside the LSU forty. With a fully healthy Tebow, they don't punt all game. Therefore, they obviously moved the ball well - they bottled up inside the 20 with two short field goals and a missed short field goal. They were inside the 25 on five occasions and came away with only one TD. That's the difference - red zone offense. It was also a problem against Tennessee.

100% Correct. No sunshine pumping here, but no unnecessary criticism either. The offense sucked. The defensive has flaws (DL pressure) but is vastly improved despite less upfront pressure. Defensive backfield played like one of the best in the country.

They held FLorida to 13 points. Well done.
