re: Was UF offense really vanilla? I don't think so.

As somebody mentioned, UF only punted once and that was on 4th and inches inside the LSU forty. With a fully healthy Tebow, they don't punt all game. Therefore, they obviously moved the ball well - they bottled up inside the 20 with two short field goals and a missed short field goal. They were inside the 25 on five occasions and came away with only one TD. That's the difference - red zone offense. It was also a problem against Tennessee.

The eye is at the 50 and the Gators didn't get that far. Its something they do before every game, home or away, gather at the 45 yard line as a team and jump up or down.
Harvin also battled a high ankle sprain his Freshman year - he was very limited for a month or so in mid-season, including the LSU game. He didn't get healthy until November and played a key role there on after.
re: I am seriously concerned for Tim Tebow

The reports that he had a previous concussion were from internet message boards like this one. The UF doctors and his high school coach have both confirmed that he has not had a previous concussion. But, don't let facts get in the way of your opinion of Urban Meyer.
It's not up to Meyer. He'll go through tests, and if he is ok, he'll play. If he's not, he won't. This isn't Varsity Blues with Coach Kilmer.
This isn't Varsity Blues...Tebow will play if and only if he gets clearance from the UF Medical Staff - it won't be up to Meyer.
With it being his first concussion a lot will depend on if he has any lingering symptoms over the next few days.

As a Gator fan who has read and follows the team as closey as anybody I have not heard one word about Tebow sustaining a minor concussion against Tennessee? Where exactly did that come from?
The last 3 national champions, Tim Tebow, the allure of Tiger Stadium at night.....the only way Ole Miss and Alabama would be the night game is if they are #1 and #2 in the country. LSU-Florida has a lot more national appeal for the reasons listed above.
re: Questions regarding Bus/RV Parking off campus - UF Game

It's a "rock star" bus that sleeps 12, which is really just a glorified RV, albeit slightly larger.
I realize that we won't be able to park anywhere on campus or really anywhere too close, but I'm wondering if there are any private lots that will be able to accomodate us. Church lots or the such? Cost for parking really isn't an issue.

Worst case scenario is we'll buy a parking pass for the Gator lot which is a mile and a half from the stadium. Just want to see if there any alternatives before we do that.

Thanks for the reply. We have a generator and everything we'll need for tailgating - we just need to find somewhere that will accomodate the space for a bus. I understand that we won't be too close, but I'd like to find a lot within reasonable distance that will include people tailgating to the fullest. We'll be arriving first thing in the morning on Saturday, ala before 9am.
Questions regarding Bus/RV Parking off campus - UF Game
Posted by deagator on 8/22/09 at 11:40 am
Gator fan taking a bus to the game this year and looking for any recommendations on where to park. It seems as if parking on campus is out of the question, but are there lots near campus that will allow us to park/tailgate? I'd like to be as close as possible to get the entire LSU Tailgating experience. There is a parking lot reserved for UF fans a ways from the stadium, but I think that defeats the purpose....we're looking forward to learning a thing or two about tailgating from you LSU folk. Any information would be appreciated and looking forward to the game.
