Back in the day when Bertman was retiring as LSU coach a bunch of us were at a place called The Sting here in Lafayette and Robicheaux was there also, smoking a stogie and saying he was going to be the next LSU head baseball coach...I couldn't really tell you how drunk he might have been at the time though...just sayin'.....

I laughed.

He said ULL had the best offense in the country in 2013.

he also knows lsu hit .305, slugged .432 and scored 439 runs

Ul hit .317, slugged .502 and scored 478 runs, they also led the nation in home runs with 74 compared to lsu's 47

You can win with gritty walk-one against the Troy's and Western Kentucky's, but if you want to compete on the national level you better find a couple of Lange's, Nola's and Gausman's.

Well that's just not going to happen. Why would guys like that go to a mid major when they can go to a place like LSU. Obviously, you guys know that and don't expect ULL to get the same caliber player as LSU. Hell, I absolutely loved my time at ULL and wouldn't trade the experiences I had for anything. but had Uncle Smoke called me as a high school senior I would have been a Tiger before he could finish the sentence.

A) Matt Heath didn't point into the Cajun dugout. While running to third base he pointed at the crowd he was facing. After rounding third, he stared into the Cajun dugout, "to let them now we were for real."

B) the next batter didn't get hit, Heath got hit his next at bat up

C) Robichaux 100% new it was happening, Heath led the inning off, yet somehow the Cajuns had a pitcher warming in the pen before the lead off hitter of the inning. Hmmmm, somebody knew an ejection was coming.

They called often in his younger days. He's from Crowley and he's a home body. It's really that simple. He's also built the Cajun program from nothing and it's his baby. He's the perfect guy for that program. He may not be the perfect guy for other schools. I love that he has stayed loyal.

Yea and had Pontiff not run his mouth to our batgirl before the game, none of this would have ever happened.

Poor Rio doesn't understand the difference in Sun Belt competition and Pac 12, ACC, and SEC competiton. What did the Cajuns hit in two games against LSU in 2013? Katz may have hit 30 home runs against Sun Belt teams in 2013. Rhymes may have hit .500.

There are pictures active on this site right now of Heath clearly pointing into dugout. It doesn't bother me that he did it and it shouldn't bother anyone here that he got hit his next time up. Cajun pitchers had no reason to throw at anyone but Heath.

Yeah, the whole LSU team ran their mouths that day...

12-2 and 12-2 said a lot.

That's okay, the Cajun pitchers sure showed us. They threw at the big meanies.

So you think a Sun Belt schedule is equivalent to an SEC schedule?

If you really believe Maineri is a better coach than robichaux you are retarded.

Obviously. As evidenced by the fact that one is the head coach at a perennial power in the best baseball conference in the country and the other is the head coach at a mid major.

He's heading to third base, you can see the Cajun third baseman in the photo. Heath is pointing straight ahead. The team dugout does not extend past third base. He's pointing to the crowd. There's a famous shot of Todd Walker pointing to the LSU crowd in Omaha after a clutch home run. LSU players have seen it a lot. Heath was pointing to the crowd. I told you, he stared into the Cajun dugout, but didn't point. Never said he was a choir boy.
