This seems over the top and I don't remember all this noise when ATM and bama made improvements like this.

Vitale and Yahoo Sports having the issue because of Wade and LSU. Others on the academic side have a reason to gripe but not at TAF or the athletic department. That's F. King's responsibility.

Part of it is there is literally nothing going on in the sports world at the moment. They have to fill the air time with something. Once training camps start opening this will be forgotten to most people.

Simple....I love my State but....Louisiana is a shite hole, lack of fortune 500 Companies, high crime and no funds for Education, hell we now are behind Mississippi and West Virginia, in Education.

It’s all jealousy.
People around the country can’t handle LSU being the best at anything. So they bring up whatever deficiencies we have to offset it.
They would prefer we be backward provincials that are easily dismissed once we’re done amusing them. Can’t have us acting or rising above our station.
The worst part is we do it better to ourselves than anyone. You would think we could be unanimous and see this as nothing but a good thing. Like we’re all one big team, and when something good happens for one, it’s good for all.

There’s a lot of moving parts on this but yes it is worse.
1 part is yahoo/vitale/bilas are all mad at LSU re:Wade and are lashing out
1 part is that LSU academic does have issues other schools don’t have so people on that side are upset
1 part is jealously from other fanbases
1 part is there’s literally nothing else going on in sports right now

Whether we like it or not, we're a very Silo'd market and not a strong National Brand.
Being on a media brand cusp as a Powerhouse program, makes us a target for everything. There's zero risk for the media to try to make us the example. We see it over and over again...

ESPN literally did a mini special when Clemson did it, and Marty went down the slide and all. It was free advertisement for recruiting basically, which is pretty much what we are getting, just in a negative way instead of a positive way.
