Was the Les Miles story the best news of the day for LSU?

Matt Moscona said this earlier today and I think he has a point, the Miles story is a red herring that actually helped LSU today by taking up coverage and deflecting the more serious issues. What Miles did was bad, but it was relatively trivial compared to the covering up of rape, it happened a long time ago and we have cut ties since. That bodes well for the current LSU admin. Les soaking up national attention is good, because it takes the heat and public eye off of more recent events and allows LSU to get away with slap on the wrist punishments. I think the headline of Les Miles soliciting sex from a student is a whole hell of a lot better than LSU administration knowingly covered up/did nothing about multiple rapes. Anyway, it just seemed like one positive to come out of a pretty negative day for LSU.

I had the radio on in the car, the national media isn’t buying that angle. They know the real story and it’s spreading like wild fire.

Is it really though? I don’t think we learned anything new today except that Alleva wanted to fire Miles in 2013. Seems like the main focus is on Miles (which is something people knew about here locally, but people are just finding out about nationally)

The fact that we all look for scapegoats is sad. You're no better than a Democrat. Bottom line is nothing significant came out of that report but we're all going to use the narrative for our best interest and condemn Les

Drake Davis and Jim Bernhard. And that poor New Zealand girl Drake raped and then Jim threatened to deport

I’m not sure what you are trying to say but I’m not trying to blame it on Les I said what he did was trivial compared to the rest of it. In fact I think a few heads need to roll starting with Verge, Segar and the whole Title 9 department. But if you’re asking if I’d rather have some disgraced former coach take the brunt of media attention rather than the current regime then yes I’d rather that.

It’s the best outcome to the story for LSU. frick Les and F King. Les turned out to be a huge price of shite.

F King can eat a dick. I wonder how “out of touch with reality” that pussy is feeling now. That liberal rat just go #metoo’d

Either way, II don’t expect Les’ lawyers to just sit around and take it. The current LSU admin and AD need to pucker up those buttholes. shite is about to get bad and my guess is that LSU is going to get hurt in the long run.

We have old sayings, because they are true. The old saying that applies here is that Les' shocking news just threw fuel on the fire. And there's another old saying, about there being blood in the water.

None of this will be good for LSU. Not is the current political climate.
