Bridgewater with two bad throws that drive. Why aren't the announcers still talking about LSU?

he wanted to play as a true freshmen, which is why he went to UL. He was never committed here

I disagree. And I'm a Mettenberger supporter. I have been agreeing with what they said all season long as I've watched Bridgewater. I absolutely agree we'd be undefeated and in a better situation at this point.
If Matt Barkley came to LSU, he would be indistinguishable from Jarrett Lee.

These announcers are questioning the coaching staffs decision, but it was our coaches decision. They made the choice that they thought was best. Kids get passed on every year by the big programs and turn out to be stars. It's not like LSU did anything that other programs have done. Mett was a more coveted prospect at that time.

They are also being harsh on Mett. He hasn't even played a full season and now they are pretty much saying he isn't that good. I hope they stop making this an issue, because I don't think they are being very fair.

Remember him having a bad string but has Mett gone 0-6 at any point this year?

he's looked bad any time pressured....think maybe SEC D's would bring a little more than the mighty bearcats?

Fans deserve plenty of blame for the Lee situation. Booing him his RS freshman is inexcusable, especially when it screws his confidence up. One year with Krags and he improved into one of the most efficient QB's in the SEC. Fans should also be to blame for putting so much pressure on Mett by calling him the Mettsiah and proclaiming him a 1st round pick/heisman winner before ever even starting a game.

All the team needs is a solid qb to win another naional championship either this year or in the next few years. Yet sidewalk fans are so obsessed with QB's that they increase their expectations to unnecessary levels.

Once again Mett has played ONLY 2 good defenses all year thus far.

Would Bridgewater look worse in the SEC? Yes, would he be as bad as Mett has been? Not even close.

Lots of "good" quarterbacks have looked pedestrian against LSU and other top defenses. Manziel was ok but his stats sure took a beating when he played LSU. So did Conner Shaw. Amazing how good some guys look when they don't play anyone.

I remember people talking about Darrin Thomas from Oregon last year and how he was committed to LSU and what an upgrade he would have been, blah, blah, blah. He didn't look so good against us.

Sometimes it is simply the system and level of competition that makes a QB look better than he really is.

dude lofts a lot of balls, sorry I don't think he'd be a HUGE improvement

it doesn't fricking matter anyway because he wasn't truly an option.

They said we were thinking of playing him but not necessarily at QB and Strong said he would be definitely be a QB.
That what the geniuses said anyway, not sure if fact....

Manziel , 24 yards? Top rushing QB in CFB and going to carve us up is what the talk was.
Tough dude though, he took a beating.

I believe LSU D can stop anyone as long as we don't get worn down like in Florida when the O went four and out like five times in a row.

I knew someone would bring this up.. but the guy has immense talent and ACCURACY. I don't care who he would be up against. He's the truth.
