booty.

Fricked up our QB situation for at least four years by using us as a bargaining chip against the Marlins. I was at the game the he and Peyton Manning made an official visit. Booty signed knowing full well he was going to go with the Marlins. Don't know if we had a good shot at Manning, but after Booty signed, all other decent QB prospects went elsewhere. This was at a time that we desperately needed to keep in state prospects. (If I hadn't closed my FB account, Booty would probably un-friend me now. )

I think J-Rock was unanimously liked

There were a lot of fans who wanted Flynn to play in 06.

As long as I can remeber the backup Qb was always the favorite.

Lee > Jefferson in 2009, 10 and 11
Jefferson > Lee in 2008
R.P > Flynn in 2007
Flynn> J. Russel in 2006

I could go back further if I had the want.

He absolutely is. There are a few factors. The 20 years before him the QB position at LSU was always questionable, he had the big arm and he won a SEC championship at LSU for the first time in many years.

In 2001 he lit up the Gumps, at their house, for over 500 yards passing. I still smile when I think about that.

Davey did what I hoped Jefferson would do, come from out of nowhere and light the world on fire against all odds. This after he absolutely sucked most of 1999.

I don't know what happened or even when it happened, but the light bulb came on for him. I kept waiting for this to happen with Jefferson, and it never did.

No love for Herb Tyler? He beat FL when they were #1, undefeated, and we sucked.

Wil, we look back at Rohan as the QB that helped change LSU football?

not really sure he changed anything, but he was loved because he was a passionate Tiger. The memorable players, by and large, are those the fans perceive to have loved the program just as much as they do. As far as 'fan love' goes since Hodson, I would say Rohan is tops followed closely by some combination of Flynn, Russell, Mauck and Tyler

Im pretty sure he works for UPS. I dont recall him doing time, but I saw him at a few games last year and he looked slimmer than his playing days. Great Tiger

While they were playing? Jamarcus Russell

Today? Davey, Mauck, Flynn, then Russell because he's now an Alabama Fan. Plus, I heard that he brought his whole family to Fleming's one night and ran out on the check. As a former server in college, that changed my opinion of him as a person. I still don't hate him (as an LSU QB) more than JJ or Marcus Randall.
