They just bitter & ignorant. He can’t cover all day. He’s got a good football iq and he’s physical. They need to utilize him more from what I saw. Let him attack around the LOs more with blitzes stunts etc.

The dude was all over the field today.
He was fantastic in run support and average in pass coverage.
He looked like a rookie at times but Drew Brees makes a lot of defensive backs look bad.

Maybe their frustration at the current state of the franchise is showing itself in the form of player criticism? It’s pretty ridiculous to write off a rookie safety, especially on a team projected by to go winless by many league pundits.
Any Jets fan who possesses even a minimal level of football knowledge and has actually been WATCHING their defense play would agree Adams’ impact could only be described as significant, even if the stats don’t read that way. Every report I’ve heard or read from ex-player and ex-coaching analysts and people close to the organization has been a glowing endorsement of Adams both on the field and in the locker room. The broadcast today is a great example, SEVERAL times the color commentator, I think it was Rich Gannon, talked at length about Adams and how he carries himself and the positive impact he’s made. He was actually interrupted several times due to stoppages in play and penalty calls and made a point to come back to his discussion of Jamal. The Jets knew they weren’t just drafting a great player but someone who would be a great ambassador for their franchise—just like he’s a fantastic ambassador for LSU.
Let their “fans” say what they will, the genuine ones have no reason to be disappointed in their management for drafting Jamal and they damn sure have no reason to be anything but excited about his future.

He's a safety, it's hard to feel like you're getting a return when you take a safety that high.

you definitely have to produce turnovers especially in the passing game if you are taken that high, and he never really proved to do that at LSU, especially when you compare him to what current stud NFL safeties did in college.
