Did anyone else see Warren Rabb at the Texas game? After halftime this man in his 60s stands up and shouts to everyone around him that the man next to him is Warren Rabb. It was a bit odd but people clapped and went on with their business. Warren never acknowledged it and just sat there looking at the field. I was surrounded by college students. They began asking each other who Warren Rabb was and they finally all agreed that he was a QB for LSU in the 80s when we won our last championship. They thought the man looked so old that he played in the 80s. These are the people who leave at halftime.

That’s a complement considering he played in the 50’s. He worked for Jostens for a long time.

Yes. I was sitting a few rows behind him. The man who stood up and told everyone who it was said something about...we all sitting up in what we thought were shite seats but little did we know we were all sitting with royalty.

He was the quarterback on the 1958 National Champions. I know that and I was born in 1958.

To the OP sometimes it is better to be silent and let people think you’re an idiot than to speak and prove them right.

I don't think the OP thought Warren Rabb played in the 80's. He certainly knows better. The point of his post was that other people thought Warren Rabb played in the 80's and he was pointing out their ignorance.

At least I hope that is what was happening.....

that's they way I read it, also the way I perceive these young'n's to be, nobody knows any history anymore, extends over to the players too

I bought my high school ring from him. He autographed a football for me and was humbled that I knew who he was.

yeah, those old guys typically are very humble, I guess it's because everything today is over-hyped, over-exposed, over-everything that none of the younger kids seem to have the respect or knowledge for what these past generations meant to LSU, hell, I can tell you who the first LSU football coach was, his record, our first All-American, and on and on and on

I grew up in the 80s. I know who Rabb is. The guy looked to be in his 80s clearly. Yet the new generation of students thought he played in the 80s. That was the point. Lots of morons on here today.

I told one girl that I a guy who played in the 80s would be in their 50s now and she looked so confused.
