Is there any other QB at a power 5, especially at a national power like LSU, who is in his 25th year with the program and a grandfather already, who doesn't have the job ONE BILLION PERCENT MOTHERFLUCKING LOCKED UP?????
Besides Myles Brennan, no there is not.
Now you can make excuses for him, or you can face reality. Whether it's playing behind Etling (who was no world beater) or the best ever (Burrow), or injuries, or the wicked witch of the west putting a spell on him, the fact remains he has WAY MORE experience at LSU than his two competitors, but remains in a dead heat for the job.
Once again, I don't give a FLYING FLUCK who wins the job, as long as it's the best QB in regards to WINNING. Stevie Wonder can see CLEARLY that Myles can't separate himself from the other two (possibly three) guys in the QB room. How in the MOTHERFLUCK is that not a MAJOR red flag to you??????
I will be THRILLED if Brennan starts, balls out, and leads us to a great season. Past history casts SERIOUS doubts about this occurring.
I'm sure Daniels looked around at several schools. WHY IN THE HELL would he pick LSU if Brennan was such a great QB and had the job on lock. Spoiler alert: he wouldn't. He came to LSU for a reason, and it wasn't to hold a clipboard. Hell, he could have gone to a Vandy, Mizzou, Illinois type program to finish his career. He's OBVIOUSLY not scared off by having to beat out Brennan. Is he delusional? Or does he realize he has a great shot at winning the job?

Bitchcomber, I haven't missed an LSU game by radio or tv since 1990. The last LSU game not to be on tv was the home game against Kentucky in 2008. I've watched every game since then on tv or in person.
I don't think Daniels is some world beater. I think he's slightly above average. If he can be on scholarship at LSU, he can DEFINITELY START for at least one third of division 1 programs. So I have a question. Why in the hell would he come to LSU to finish his career on the bench, when he could start at so many other places? It's impossible for you to answer that question, because you know damned well if you were him you'd be looking to play, and you'd find a place where you would play.
I get why Kelly is adding depth to the QB room. What I don't get is why Daniels would come here to possibly sit. Please SPECIFICALLY explain to me why he is doing that. He can't gamble now. He needs a sure starting job this late in his college career.

I'm a lot calmer than my posts indicate. I just want one of these wizards to explain to me why Daniels picked LSU. I'm pretty sure he picked us because he knows he can beat the people out we already have. If that wasn't the case he could go be a star for Old Dominion or Western Kentucky.
Very few (if any) of these kids love LSU the way we do. They want assurances of playing time. That makes me believe he got that before transferring here.

He had to call and ask for a scholarship. He's not promised anything but an opportunity.

Wow, what an original way to phrase something. I bet that style was pretty cute, and even original at one time. That time is long gone

Sean Clifford is older than Brennan and at Penn State. He's got the job locked up though, mostly because they don't have anyone else. Our issue is that we have others so Brennan or whoever has to win the job every year.

You're clearly somewhat of a simpleton.
Quarterbacks transfer to new schools all the time and fail to win the job.
Look at JT Daniels at Georgia and Milton at Tennessee.

I explained it to you above.
Hint: these kids have a lot of belief in their own abilities, sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

Having experience "at LSU" means absolutely nothing.
The entire coaching staff has been flipped over, the system has changed, every quarterback has the same amount of experience in this system.
Starting experience, Daniels has way more. Nuss has started two less games than Brennan.
Your "arguments" never hold water.

How do you know all of this?

Myles won't even win the starting job if Kayshon Boutte has anything to do with it
Luckily, Kelly would never let a player dictate who starts.
