"Wait til next year" finally has substance

Next year has merit when you're in year one of an absolute rebuild from just an empty lot. There wasn't even a foundation yet.

They may seem a little lofty, but if you look at what he did with almost nothing this year (beating numerous tourney teams, etc.), then it doesn't seem that unrealistic in a time when players leave early all the time and other schools don't don't have those deep, experienced teams like back in the day. It's easier to make a run now.

Let's not use a Coach O quote when talking about Will Wade. With that being said I am looking forward to basketball next year with that number 3 recruiting class!

I'm honestly expecting a Championship appearance next year, not sure if we win it all but who knows. With the player turnover in B-Ball it just takes one recruiting class to get you there and I think we somehow got the Nick Saban of Basketball coaches, time will tell.

I love CWW as much as the next guy but let's temper our expectations a bit. The SEC will still be strong next year. Kentucky will be Kentucky. Vandy is bringing in 2 5-stars and a 4-star so LSU doesn't have the only stellar class. Predictions of a Final Four or Top 5 preseason ranking just aren't realistic. A Final Four could happen but it's not likely.

I think 12 Conference wins and a trip to the Tourney is what I would consider a good season next year. Anything above that is gravy. Give Wade time to build a contender. It's either feast or famine with you guys. You're either locked in your room fapping to a poster of the coach and expecting a Natty every year or your burning him in effigy and running him out of town.

Wade will make LSU a national power but give the man another year at least before you expect to hang a banner in the PMAC.
