And if one of the guns is tied to the murder, then what? He should be gone just on the fact that he had them all in his dorm.

I’m guessing JT didn’t have a LSU student roommate? It’s been years and years since my college days, but freshman had to have roommates.

I’ve been wondering about this also.

This really sucks. My son played with him on offense at ASH. JT has always been such a good kid and comes from a great family. I really hope he comes out of this ok.

As an unwilling participant (maybe), could roommate suffer some consequences?
Or maybe roommate hasn’t moved in yet.

Crossing fingers his roommate isn’t Harlem Berry.

I’m assuming that the roommate either didn’t move in yet or the focus is on JT because it’s his friends and either his or their guns.

Specific intent for accessory after the fact is a high bar.
On paper, sure. Not in reality, and definitely not with these facts as presented.

Any roommate could have been the one to tip off officials so who knows.

Guns in his dorm room should be instant expulsion.

This sounds like complete bullshite and your making assumptions based on...something.
Complete bullshite? The odds of Lindsey not knowing his friends were on the run for murder is about zero.

If we were talking about a single handgun or a hunting rifle/shotgun you’d be right.
That’s not what we’re talking about in this instance though

You are correct. This should be handled by the dean of students. It should mean instant expulsion. There shouldn't even be discussion right now about him being suspended from football activities. He shouldn't be a student right now at all. This should be outside of the control of the athletic department.
What if a construction management student was found to have in AR-15 in his dorm room? Would he still be around?
If the guns are found to legally belong to him, he doesn't have a ground to stand on. If they belonged to the friends/ murderers, he is probably going to say he didn't know they were there. Plead ignorance.

To be fair, unless they have text message evidence showing that Lindsey was made aware of their situation, he'll walk from this pretty easily. Just so fricking dumb regardless.

Could've been alot frickin worse.
Yea, a shootout with cops where normie students get killed in the crossfire.
Or another student discovers they are there, and they kill him to keep him quiet.
All legal arguments aside, this dude should be done as an LSU student.

I dont see Lindsey playing at LSU with a felony conviction.
Even if he avoids a felony conviction, I still don’t see him playing at LSU considering the violations of university housing policies.
Having unauthorized people staying in your dorm is one violation. But the big one is that he let his hoodrat friends bring a small arsenal of guns into the dorm. That’s too big of an issue for LSU administration to let that one slide.
If it were a handgun or 2, he might could argue that he had no clue there were guns in his friends’ bags. But with multiple rifles, I don’t see how he could argue that he wasn’t aware of the presence of guns.
