That kid should never be in that situation. He should know better and his “friends” would never put him in that spot if they cared about him in the slightest.

absolutely stupid....and the guns in there....man this kid has to know better. I would think he might could have beat the accessory charge, but the guns in the room I would assume would get him kicked out of LSU.

I actually liked him more than Harlem berry.

Guy just screwed himself for life. Being a Louisiana kid who goes to play at LSU sets you up for a solid job for life in or out of sports.

One dumb decision and it completely changes the outlook on his life.

His best chance at a life is snitching and a plea deal.

Saw Berry in person last season and he’s really good but small. I didn’t know if he’d be a RB in college but he’s a good athlete.

I'm not sure what about this is confusing. Been posted several times in this thread.

Even assuming the “associate” is accurate, accessory after the fact reads like it requires specific intent to help the offender avoid arrest, trial, etc. It’s not necessarily an accessory crime to let someone with an active arrest warrant stay at your place, even if you know they have a warrant out. You just can’t specifically do so to let them “hide out,” basically.

Is there not a lesser version of this crime that doesn’t require that specific intent? Some sort of generic “harboring” misdemeanor that makes it a crime to knowingly let someone stay at your place if they’ve got an active warrant without specifically doing it to help them hide from the law?

I guess I can see why they arrested him, just surprised there wasn’t a lesser version of this. They might know more than they publicly released of course.

The police have evidence that he knew what was going on before letting them stay at his place or else the Judge would not have signed the arrest warrant.

It wouldn’t have been the first time the less heralded guy was better. I think he had better vision in the clips I saw AND he did it against 5A competition. Harlem Berry clips he wasn’t challenged at all and could get away with some stuff too easily playing 1 A football.

the way you phrased it made it seem like the type of gun was the problem.

Especially a freshman football player at LSU. I dont remember if he was an EE, but dude probably left for BR the first second he could and has been in the football buildong since. At least, that's a damn good defense unless it can be proven otherwise.

I don’t think this gets him anywhere. They supposedly have an “associate” saying that Lindsey admitted to knowing they had warrants out. If that’s right, the only question is the specific intent to conceal them from the law.

Instead of pretending to be an internet lawyer because you binged Law & Order SVU back in the day, just think of it like this:

He supposedly knew that he buddies committed a murder and let them come stay in his dorm room on campus with multiple rifles.

He’s an adult. That’s a crime. It’s a felony.

About the murder that occurred three months ago in Alexandria?

Doubtful.

Owning an AR-15 is not a crime. Neither is owning multiple weapons. It’s called the second amendment.

Possessing them on campus is especially in a dorm
