Agree to disagree but eventually it will be irrefutable.

If I told you three years ago he’d consistently produce top tier recruiting classes, win the SEC, make the sweet sixteen, and potentially could have won games in March last season, would u not be thrilled after where we were with jones? He obviously has flaws, but this program is top three in the SEC and that’s light years ahead of where we were when he took over.

You people are fricking losers!! You'll say dumb shite like this. It was one loss at Florida! Jesus! For football this same person probably listens to only VolTiger13 and probably wants Jeff Grimes or Phil Longo to be the next OC.

I would say look at what he did with Kavell Bigby Williams. He was a mainstay in Wade's team

You could argue they have more talent. And Mike White is an elite coach.

Mostly. This team like last years team is too small... getting destroyed on the boards. Yes defense needs to be better... Florida got multiple possessions and multiple attempts 6 to 10 times in the second half... LSU gets jump shots. This team will win a lot of games but not a team that will go deep in the tournament

This has to be one of the dumbest posts of all the dumb posts there have been here lately AND that takes effort.

I agree that we’ve vastly improved as a program under Wade and I’m grateful for that. Now that we’re here, and have been for a few years now, I would hope that we can elevate even more. Nothing wrong with that is there?

Way too early to be saying this. Wade has done better at recruiting, his game game day coaching is still developing.

He is a good coach, very good recruiter and time will tell.

Coaching basketball at the elite level is more about recruiting and player retention and he has the recruiting down. Unfortunate for Wade the wire taps did not let him coach 2 years ago and Covid stopped him last year.

It will be interesting to see how far LSU goes this year.

Losing to a team like Florida this early in the season does not define this team.

KBW didn’t start until 2 games before conference and only because we were underperforming especially on defense and rebounding even with size advantages. We couldn’t keep Naz out of foul trouble at center so Bigby was inserted because Wade was practically forced to do it. Wade even admitted his stubbornness to do it later in the season. He doesn’t wanna play bigs.

Where more do you want to elevate?

We won the SEC. Sweet 16. Would be back to back NCAA appearances if it weren't for Rona. That would have been a 1st in 15 years.

This year making the NCAA tourney brings us to back to back to back tournaments for the 1st time since 1993. That is alot of elevating

I’m starting to believe this is true. He seems to have a Les Miles stubbornness about him when it come to defense. He simply REFUSES to change his philosophy on that end of the ball and it is what will keep his teams from being championship level.

Yes, today was a loss to a good Florida team on the road. It happens. But the root of LSU’s losses are almost always the same. Terrible defense. And it NEVER gets fixed despite being the glaring issue. Listen to the games people. EVERY analysts talks about it. Great offensive team with great offensive talent. Bad defensively. That’s not because they “just don’t like LSU or Wade.” It’s because it is ridiculously obvious and has been so for 4 years!

This is a good basketball team. But they have a self inflicted ceiling on how good they can be because the program, from TOP to bottom isn’t willing to take the necessary steps to correct the only anchor holding them back from being dynamic

The time for program evaluation is after the season.

Today was a very close game against a team picked ahead of us in the SEC and on the road. Our shooting was a bit off at 41% and that cost us.

He has changed his defense drastically when it comes to schematics he just refuses to play big men which leaves us vulnerable inside. You play Gray for 5 minutes during that stretch where Castleton couldn’t be stopped and if he causes 2 or 3 extra misses you win that game.

I keep harboring and banging my head on this but would Cisse had made a big difference? We were in on this kid and it was so close until Vitale, Forde, and other Calipari shills swayed his recruitment away from LSU. Am I wrong and overestimating his potential impact?

Look you guys need to accept the fact that Wade doesn’t want a big man. We have Josh Gray who could’ve matched up against Castleton today and never saw the floor. Wade wants ti play small ball and while I don’t care for it there’s more than one way to skin a cat and Wade gets results. But stop holding out for or making excuses for Wade not having a big man. We have plenty of size he just doesn’t want to play them.

Uhhh KBW was our MVP a few years ago and Wade chased Cisse and others HARD this offseason.
