Alabama currently is. I mean he already was kind of there. Only thing that was missing was an SEC tourney. The Wade and Oats rivalry would have been a great one. Wade got the last laugh winning his last one. Too bad that clown Woodward ruined everything.

He didn’t even come close. Nate Oats owned him. Wade was our best coach but he was no where near incredible

True. His wife had plenty of checks left in her checkbook.

Wade was a good coach. He never had LSU near a number one ranking or seeding. Maybe he could have gotten there. But the prick Oats did it for Bama in a shorter period of time than Wade coaches at LSU. Just the facts.

Wade couldn't even use a burner phone or a middle man but you think he could have us ranked number 1?

Wade’s last season was mediocre. Would 23 have been better? We will never know, but there was no guarantee we would have improved. There were a lot of question marks.

Of course we would have been way better than what we were.

Will this Wade shite ever end on this board? I've about had it with reading the same shite over & over & over.

A conversation about Alleva's overgrown nose would be more entertaining at this point.

I know OUR basketball program is such shtshow that people forget Wade won the SEC in year 2. We’re so bad now memories of winning a game seems like years ago, actually it almost is remember last year when we almost beat Kentucky, yes good times.

2018-19 LSU basketball 26-5 Overall regular season and 16-2 in the SEC. 2022-23 Alabama basketball 26-5 overall and 16-2 in the SEC.

Will Wade was suspended at that point. What would have happened in the SEC T and NCAA T otherwise? I dont know. That season college basketball was loaded as well. A great Duke team with multiple lottery picks didnt even make the Final Four.

After that season Wade did very well but was hampered by the allegations and could never finish out some pieces in the recruiting classes. Always felt like we were missing one key piece to put us over the top.

Same as it did Oats. Except Oats also won the Tournament.
And now Oats is on the verge of winning both the conference and the tournament again in year 4.

In his shortened time at LSU, tPear peaked in year two. It did look like LSU was gonna have a monster this year but that all fell apart, unfortunately.

A quick chart I put together, blue is the overall win percentage, Orange is SEC win percentage. This is not meant as a criticism of Will Wade, considering the uphill battle coaching basketball at LSU can be, Wade did an incredible job. I just think people seem so invested in being right about one coach or another that no one is really objective, I guess that is understandable in sports. No, this is not directed at you or anyone in particular

Top half finish in the SEC....again. NCAA tournament....again. I wish we could be so mediocre now.

Xavier Pinson injury killed us. Up until that point the team was playing great. The team struggled mightily with him out and after he came back he lost a step.

Going to a post season tourny every year including the big dance every year after year 1 is just average you know especially at LSU. It’s crazy how dumb the antiwade people are. Wade was doing things no one has done in forever here and we have some people that shite on him and praise MM lol

The basement MM has us in is better no street ball no mean tweets.

I honestly feel extremely cheated about 2018-2019.

That was as complete a team as I’ve seen at lsu and they made it to the sweet 16 with Tony benford as head coach.
