I posted this on Friday and was roundly called stupid. It depends on how the money transferred. For Wade’s sake, hopefully it was a shoebox full of cash.

Wow is this stupid. Wire Fraud? So we are now charging people with wire fraud from taped conversations generally discussing offers? You realize that you are surrounded by morons when things like this happen.

I think the only real trouble Wade could get into would be Perjury. I imagine all transfers were in cash.

If it's possible, you have gotten more stupid since Friday when you posted it. You have seriously been working OT with this crap.

It's the same "what if" game that CNN plays. What if WW ate babies? He could get charged with murder. Joe Alleva should fire him now.

WWL is not a legitimate news source.

I said Smart would be suspended - he was.

I said Wade could face charges - a legal analyst agrees.

I said LSU will face an NCAA investigation - you have to be Hold That Tiger 10 or LNCHBOX dumb to think otherwise.

What else?

I don't even see how the feds have a case unless taxes were not paid. When has it become against the law to sell services in exchange for a product in the U.S.A.?

Now I understand how this is an NCAA violation, but a federal violation? I don't see it.

The feds have jurisdiction if it’s wire fraud or conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

I don't understand the nature of the wire fraud. Please explain it to me.

When has it been against the law to pay your friends or business associates services rendered through PayPal or Venmo?

I don’t think he’s provided any sworn testimony yet.

Nah, I am just saying if he does testify. It's going to be a mess.

Someone has to be victimized via phones, internet, etc. It’s a federal crime because those communication means often cross outside state and local jurisdictions. The government would have to build a case that the school was victimized by their pay for play scheme. Seems like a stretch, but how do they have this shoe exec convinced already?

Kinda dramatic

Seems like every coach that “offers” a kid would go to jail then

Unless I missed the part where he gave a monetary amount
