They showed a clip of the 2 of them talking pregame in which they were both laughing and cutting up. Just last year, LSU went to UT to play a pre-season scrimmage b/c the two are friends.
If anything, the exchange after the game was probably brief b/c Wade was pissed the team blew a big lead and made the game way closer than it should have been.

It’s not a comfortable thing when you just defeated someone who was your mentor. It’s not like you’re gonna want to sit there and chitchat for about 10 minutes.

Shaka is on the HOT SEAT and his former assistant that came up as an equipment manager just beat him at home...... you wanted to see hugs and sugars?

I was sitting right behind our bench and they had a hug and what looked to be a very friendly conversation before the game.

Shaka and Wade go way back and are great friends. There’s nothing to read into here. In an earlier interview Wade said he and Shaka talk weekly and regularly compare notes and insights on each other team. He said the get together for practices and scrimmages on years (2020 excluded) they don’t play each other. Hugs and laughs pre-game. I’m sure both have a lot to say after the game. Neither was happy at the end.
On a personal note I felt I Was witnessing two red hot up and coming leaders who represents 21st century coaching. Move over Whiny Vitale blueblood coaching criminals. There‘s new blood with a new style in town.

It's like a receiving line. Single file, keep the line moving. They talked before the game and probably after. The postgame handshake isn't the time.

Shaka better turn things around pretty quick at Texas or he will get run out of town. Dude is doing ridiculously poor with the roster he has.
Of the 11 guys he's really played this year, not a single one is a former 3-star or lower. All the guys are former 4-stars and Jones was a 5-star. In fact none of the 11 are lower than Top 100 overall recruits.
Think about if wade had a roster of 11 guys who were all former Top 100 overall players. The lowest guy was like #91 overall in his class.
