Vitello is being very smart

He is not coming to LSU. He is just using this opportunity to make that supposed $1.5m offer into about $1.8m- $1.9m from Tennessee. He and his agent are using LSU like everybody else does to get a new contract

Why would Vitello not come? Seems like the absolute perfect time to leave.
BTW, if I was Tenn and lost Vitello, I would try my hardest to get Jake Gautreau. I wouldn't even be upset about losing Vitello if he was attainable. I am saying this as if I was in Tennessee's position. It would be a similar hire to Vitello all over again.

He(more specifically Sexton) is going to force Tennessee to pay him 2.5 mil.

I have no idea what's going to happen. But LSU is no stranger to getting played as leverage for another offer.

TV isn’t looking for a nice little job with security. He wants to win and that isn’t going to happen consistently at Tennessee. He’s the easiest target on Scott’s board.

I'm starting to wonder on this too. The problem then becomes, if he's not the main target then what big names do you have left? Corbin is not coming to LSU but that would be amazing if he is. The names continue to get cross off and that big name list is ever shrinking down to nothing. Pretty soon we're going to have to target a tier 2 list or maybe they have someone in reserve like Godwin if it falls through. I really wonder who they're targeting in Omaha. Outside Corbin, I don't think anyone is better than TV right now.

Woodward probably wants Tim Corbin. Until Tim Corbin gives a final NO to LSU, no one else is getting offered.
