Anyone know the drinking policy on campus for game day? I’ve heard several different versions of what’s allowed on campus during game day. We plan on getting there around lunch and walking around with an ice chest on wheels with drinks. If the alcohol is poured into cups and no one is acting an arse, is this permissible? Thanks.

I didn't want to read all 18 pages, so am posting here. My brother and I are getting in late to Seattle on Friday night. Are there any places to eat that are open 24 hours. I mean a decent place, not Denny's.
Thanks
Thanks

Can we leave this up until monday? I'd like to be able to login from the hotel to access this link when I get there, and throughout the weekend.

Hello Tiger Fans!
A loyal Husky fan here who wanted to pipe in and describe his enthusiasm for my first SEC anything experience. I'm excited for this game/tailgate more than most others. I look forward to mingling/bantering with the LSU faithful as I can only imagine how well you LSU (and most likely all SEC) fans will travel to see your team. The Husky faithful embrace away teams that travel well, just tell them how much you hate the Oregon ducks and they'll take you in with open arms, ha!
I don't want to read all posts so I'll answer a few Seattle questions I read at the end of this thread.
Gameday drinking. Keep your drink in a cup and don't flaunt your booze/beer and the Fuzz will leave you alone. They aren't ignorant just trying to keep order. For the best tailgating/long tenured/most faithful fanbase visit the South Parking Lot. The grassy area in the far South end is the most entertaining (IMO) and people are very friendly.
Late night eats. For 24 hour accomodations Beth's Cafe (featured on Man vs. Food) is the place. Great breakfast spot that serves unlimited hash browns that are delicious. On Aurora in North Seattle, any cabbie will know where it is. If you're eating before 1am hit up one of five Dick's Burgers locals, a Seattle staple for greasy burgers. Cash only though.
I look forward to jabbering with some Tigers come Saturday, go Dawgs!! See you at Tigers Stadium in '11.

Interesting choice, never been there myself. FYI, that area is kind of the seedy part of town.

Thursday we will be doing all the Seattle attractions (fisherman’s wharf, Seattle center). Friday we wanted to take a drive to see some of the scenery and was thinking about going to Mt Rainier for the day. Would this be the recommended trip to take for a day?
If so, I assume we can leave in the morning and get back by that evening. It looks like there are different parts that you could go to. Is one area better than the rest.
If you think there is a better day drive for scenery, please recommend. We are leaving Sunday open for now in case there is something else that we want to do once we get there. Thanks for any recommendations.

Personally, I'd consider going east instead of down to Mt. Rainier. Check out Leavenworth and some of the other points out there. Weather is likely to be better too.

The Washington Ferry is always a fun attraction. Ride the Bainbridge ferry and check out Poulsbo for lunch or something. From the ferry you'll get great downtown and Mt Rainier views. It'd be a fun day trip. Rainier would be cool if you're looking to get a hike in or something though Mt Si would be an easier option for that.

Tiger 55, if you are dragging a cooler, and your booze is in a 'non'transparent cup, you are fine. Go to the local store, buy some LSU purple or gold cups, and you'll be fine.
Walk around with a bottle of JD in your right hand, and you could have issues.
It's all about being, 'discreet'. I have been attending games / drinking at games for 25 years, (with a cup) and never had a problem.
Be 'discreet' and you're 'golden'.

If you're headed to Mt Rainier for the day, you need to plan on leaving Seattle very early and getting back very late. It's a solid 2 hour + drive from the city and it's a serious mountain.
If you're looking for a do-able day hike destination, try Mt. Si or something in the Cascades at Snoqualmie Pass.

Apple & Pear Country is on the eastern slopes of the Cascades. Yakima, Wenatchee, Omak, etc., all over an hour away from Seattle. You may be able to find a local orchard, but it won't be the famous Washington apples & pears you get from the other side of the mountains.
