Filet Mignon Fajitas...question

Posted by la tigra on 6/13/10 at 6:29 pm
So, I have some filets that have been in my freezer for a while- one set for 6 months, one set for a year and 6 months. They are from omaha steaks, so they have stayed wrapped/in the box. BUT I still think they will not be that good as 'steaks' so I wanted to make fajitas wtih them. Anyone have a...

I've heard Gino's serves up a good steak, however, I have never had one there.... If I had to pick, I'd say Ruths - from my limited experience with steaks in BR (for a while)...
First off, I like PF Changs- it is a good chain place.... 2nd off...every single place in the US has an infatuation with chain food....after golf the other day, we decided to go to dinner....I live in Jersey....all of the chains were busy (judging from the parking lot)...we went to an obscure Outba...
I can't disagree with your logic. You just sound like your ex. Who I know. Mosca's is a pretty damn good place. My treat to you both if that is cool.
Hahahaha- we didn't get married for no reason! If you can get us both in town at the same time, you're on! But I also assume it is...
something with a puff pastry....because everything with puff pastry is good.... or like a crawfish bread...
I live in Hoboken, NJ....when I go back to La, I want cajun/creole, etc...I can get better -or just as good- italian up here. I can't get cajun/creole up here.... So, it wasn't a bad thing- just a logical thing for me...
what about Sammy's?? I don't eat RBandR (I know un-cajun)- but they are slimy to me....But I can't offer a real opinion- only an opinion of good 'cajun' food at other places that may have it I know all my friends who like it do like Chimes...
If there are oysters, it is not true italian...just saying... So, my answer would be no, b/c it can't be true 'italian'- but I haven't eaten there and probably wont...

I went to TenPen (although I think this is spelled wrong) when I was there a year or so ago- it was really good! On the corner of 10th and Pennsylvania...
A lot...hell, I've gone out and spent 100+ on myself on booze alone.... But $50/person goes away very quickly when drinking.......
To do NYC like I want to do it...I would have to. Also, I don't want to work the hours I would have to at a big firm...
The second part is probably true...the first part- only if you want a 2000 sq ft apartment - ok a 1,000 sq ft apartment  Granted, I live in Hoboken but...
This is the longest in my life I have gone without visiting NYC. It is my 2nd home and favorite city I have ever visited...If I ever win the lottery, I would move there in a heartbeat
You don't need to win the lottery to live here...trust me!...
Thats a hell of a deal! In NYC, the LSU alumni crawfish boil is $75+ each year....the crawfish are driven up live....they are yummy.....I can't wait!...
read somewhere they have garlic icecream...
Yes, I have had this before in Florida-- it was interesting- pretty good there is a garlic fest in Fla as well....somewhere near Palm Beach- can't remember the name of the town...one of the retirement towns...
For sweet you could do monkey bread...although I'm pretty sure there is nothing healthy about it- its still awesome...
