Waste of practice time.

I think most of us know that this is little more than a small piece of the football pie (10-15 minutes total) but it's fun, the players enjoy it, seems to build camaraderie, encourages toughness, and it's allowed to be filmed (great recruiting tool IMO). I don't think it's a waste of time at all.

Other notes: Copeland is a mis-match for everyone on D except the DT's.

I am pretty sure CLM was making the point that regardless of why your helmet comes off, you are out of the game.
If you come out for a play, then so be it. But you aren't "out of the game". I'm sure that point was lost on the player.

But you aren't "out of the game". Play continue irregardless of whether your helmet is on or not. You put your helmet back on and go ahead with the next play.

Not any more you don't. Unless the player is facemasked and thats what causes the helmet to come off, he has to sit out the next play...and depending on the circumstances of the play it could also be a 15 yard penalty.

our freshman DBs are weak as hell

Would you rather the incoming freshman DB's manhandle the veterans who have been in a college weight program for 2-3 years? They are no different than any other freshmen. They will all be fine

Everywhere I have watched mathieu, he seems faster, quicker, stronger. I thought he might go in a slump, but it seems the best is yet to come.

all i got to say is jarvis landry better be a hell of a wide reciever because he looks like an all american corner or safety right now. He reminds me of Hines Ward.

Seriously. And with Landry, James Wright, Armand Williams, and Kadron Boone, this may be the best group of blocking wide receivers ever at LSU. Shoot Beckham even gets after it too for a little guy.

The backs could be busting off a lot of long runs this year with this group blocking downfield!!

On top of that, Turner was very impressive in the spring game when blocking. He sealed the edge on cracks to linebackers and ends like a boss. He looks like a RB.

Watch Tyrann's jump off the whistle at the 6:30 mark. You can tell he's got that little extra.

Speaking of Landry, I'd love to see him moved to Safety.
