Wow, it's so unlucky that two perfectly innocent young men were so adversely effected by this angry mob of LSU football players that were out just terrorizing any person that they crossed paths with that night, except for Jefferson, who was drinking his milk and reading his Bible.

Its going to be a damn shame when charges get dismissed and JJ ended up missing his senior season over this crap

You are right. Whoever did this was out of line. But you can't prove or convince me that it was JJ... and I doubt anyone could.

I watched the video and I can't really make much out. What I did see was one person being beaten by at least one person. I don't think you can clearly identify anyone in the video.
We know that the guy who got beat was Lowery because he has injuries. What happened to the other three guys that had to go to the hospital? I imagine that the guy with the busted up back got kicked as well. Maybe there is another video that hasnt been released yet.
I think that the BRPD went overboard investigating this, but not in the manner that the Jefferson supports are suggesting. I think they made sure they had some pretty damn good evidence other than the witness statements.
If Jefferson did it he needs to be kicked off the team. If he didn't then let him back on.
The initial police report that was released is just that, an initial reporting of what was told to the officer on scene. The investigating officers then conducted their own investigation, re-interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence and proceeding accordingly. A judge seemed to think there was enough probable cause for a search and arrest warrant.
If Jefferson did not have anyting to do with the fight then why did his lawyer advise him to not answer any questions and only give a brief account of the fight?

Second degree battery is completely injury dependent.
What you described would be a simple battery. If severe injuries occurred as a result, then the charge could be upgraded.

What we can assume based on multiple accounts:
(1) Lowery threw the first punch
(2) The fight was on going when the truck pulled up.
(3) Someone yelled get the gun out of the back of the truck.
(4) The BRPD have acted like completely befuddled biased buffoons.
